Emma Brookes Solution Focussed Hypnotherapy
About me
I first found hypnotherapy when I used hypnobirthing to help me have a relaxed, controlled, drug free birth for my son. Early on in my pregnancy I began to get very anxious about giving birth and started to panic about all the worst scenarios due to my anxiety disorders. To help I had 1:1 hypnobirthing sessions, this enabled me to give birth at home with only my partner and a midwife present without any pain relief and no anxiety.
After my son was born I carried on for years battling away, trying to live my life to the fullest, but never getting rid of the niggling panic that would arise out of no-where and eventually lead to a full blown panic attack. It was two years ago when it had got to a point where I was suffering so badly from insomnia and stress I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue that I knew I had to do something to get my life back to some sort of normality. This was when I discovered Solution Focused Hypnotherapy. After my first session I felt like I had been thrown a life line, that there was finally a way out of this horrible spiral of anxiety. With the help of Solution Focused Hypnotherapy I learned how to change my thinking, come up with solutions to make my life better and I began to sleep again! I am testament to the fact that this type of treatment works I no longer 'suffer' from any of the conditions that I did previously and I am now living a wonderful life with zero anxiety or depression.
In 2016 I made the decision to train to become a practitioner of Solution Focused Hypnotherapy as I am so passionate about its ability to help people change their lives for the better.
