About me
Do you feel as if you're stuck in a cycle of repeating the same behaviours and feeling the same negative feelings on a regular basis? Struggling with anxiety, stress or finding it hard to cope with loss or changes in your life?
Hi, I'm Liz and I work with individuals who perhaps like you, are struggling to cope with anxiety, stress and a sense of being out of balance; individuals who know things could be better, but don't know where to start.
Together, it's possible to work through your difficulties to enable you to make positive changes so that you can feel more settled, secure and with a clearer sense of direction and control over your life. My approach has been fine tuned over many years and as everyone is unique, I make use of different approaches depending on your needs and situation.
Working together - what to expect.
Hypnotherapy can be extremely useful on its own, but when combined with other approaches the results can be further accelerated and more profound. So in addition to hypnotherapy, I also offer the following:
- Psychotherapeutic counselling
- Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT or tapping therapy)
- Relaxation Therapy
- Human Needs Psychology
During an initial consultation, we will look at your specific circumstances and agree which approach or combination of approaches would be most suited to you. After the initial session, there is no minimum requirement for sessions. I may make a recommendation, but it's entirely up to you.
You will know if you want or need to have further sessions and we would review at regular intervals. At the very least, my aim is to get you off that bus and back in control of your life as soon as possible.
I will take time to learn about you and gain an understanding of your experiences and where you are today, providing a safe, confidential space for you to just 'be you'. By working together to look at where you are now, we can then continue that work to get you to where you'd like to be!
Getting started.
If you're not sure if this is for you, or if you have any questions at all, then please do ring for a no obligation chat or contact me via email - further information is available on my website, and sessions are available for anyone who feels the need for specific support at this time.

Prior to working as a therapist, I trained and worked as a mental health nurse for many years, gaining a broad experience across the spectrum of mental and emotional health, working with children, adults and the elderly. Of course, no one is immune to life's difficulties and my own journey has had it's own ups and downs, which I believe has given me a sensitivity to the difficulties of others. It's also enabled me to have a more balanced perspective on the problems people face, both professionally & personally.

Areas of hypnotherapy I deal with
Information about health conditions (*)
Hypnotherapy can enhance the well-being of individuals diagnosed with serious medical conditions, but should not take the place of medical treatment and advice. If you have been diagnosed with - or suspect you may have - any of these conditions, please speak to your doctor before starting hypnotherapy.
Other areas of hypnotherapy I deal with
In addition to the conditions listed, I specialise in working with clients who wish to make significant life changes. This may include working on one or more of the listed conditions in addition to a 'whole of life' overhaul.

Your subconscious mind is a very powerful thing and although it may not feel like it, at some point in the past, you will have learnt to behave or react in a certain way in order to protect yourself. The only problem is that what starts as a short term solution can end up being an unwanted pattern of behaviour. The good news is it doesn't have to be that way. It is possible to make positive, lasting changes, and you can start TODAY!
