About me

HPA-Hypnosis is a blend of ethos and science that delivers you results through the use of cutting edge hypnosis techniques.

You have two systems that protect you from threats. One is the immune system, a collection of cells and lymph nodes that orchestrate an attack when they come across internal intruders. The second is the hypothalamus- pituitary -adrenal axis (HPA axis) which is a complicated feedback loop that starts in the brain and switches on when you perceive a threat. Most people would know this as the ‘fight or flight’ response.

The ‘fight or flight’ response causes a cascade of physical reactions preparing the body for action. However, modern threats such as job interviews, novel situations and the worry about jobs or relationships can cause physical responses that are usually disproportionate and last too long. This elevates stress hormones in the body leading to fatigue, weight gain, heightened levels of anxiety and poor health.

Luckily there are a host of things that you can do to reduce your stress levels . Developing insight into the source of your stressors, getting enough rest, a little exercise and good nutrition will have you well on your way to balancing your health. Hypnosis is useful at re-balancing your autonomic nervous system and dampening down your HPA axis leading to better health and better ability to cope with stressors.

Understanding the science is the first step in reducing stress levels. The ethos behind HPA Hypnosis is Helping People Achieve…

HPA Hypnosis is able to provide consultations to all those in the city, along the M4 and A470 corridors with relative ease and assured confidence.

We are conveniently located in the heart of Cardiff at the Natural Health Clinic, one of Cathedral roads oldest health establishments. Also with a clinic in Pontypridd's favourite osteopathic clinic, which has just recently celebrated its 29th year.

Recognising the importance for clients to be able to access health care when it is right for them, David is able to arrange appointments outside working hours and on the weekend.

Many of David's clients arrive at the clinic having tried various avenues with limited success before they decide to benefit from hypnotherapy, some having visited their GP and yet to find a solution.

If there is a possibility that you are experiencing a problem that is psychosomatic in origin, there is a good chance hypnotherapy can help. This means that whatever is causing you stress, worry or some sort of barrier could be related to thoughts or feelings that result in changes in behaviour or how you feel physically.

David sees a wide range of individuals from professionals to the unemployed; children to the retired. Each individual is provided with bespoke sessions with a focus on developing emerging strengths rather than discussing weaknesses.

Despite the difficulty some individuals find making that initial consultation, many wish they had made it earlier after experiencing the effects of hypnosis.

David's approach is grounded in science, artfully delivered to achieve fast and effective results for his clients.

Having trained with some of the most influential figures within the field of hypnosis and behavioural change from across the globe, you can be assured that whatever you are currently looking to change or improve, David is in a good position to help you achieve your goals.
