Welcome to Danielle Ashley Hypnotherapy. Using Solution Focused Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy techniques, I support my clients in moving towards their goals, whatever they may be. Whether you are feeling anxious, struggling to cope, trying to lose weight, overcome a phobia or quit smoking, you could benefit from the relaxing and positive methods used in my sessions to bring about long-term change in a relatively short period of time.
As the name suggests, Solution Focused Hypnotherapy is all about looking forward & finding solutions, taking small achievable steps towards bigger goals. We don't focus on the problem or dredge up feelings from the past, so the sessions tend to be uplifting and positive.

I view hypnotherapy as a means to maximise overall wellbeing, not only as a form of therapy to "fix" a particular issue. In our fast-paced, modern world it's easy to live in a state of constant stress, whether we realise it or not. Often people will ignore their body's warnings of pressure/stress/anxiety until physical symptoms manifest, & medical attention is required. I believe hypnotherapy could provide benefits for everybody when used as a preventative measure to keep us at our best: it helps improve resilience & positivity as well as empowering us to make better decisions, to cope better, and to become more mindful of our interactions with our environment and with others.

I also explain how the brain works (in a clear, easy to understand way) in relation to our emotions & behaviours. It's helpful to understand the workings of the brain so that you can see how change is possible. There is no hypnosis in the initial consultation, however you will receive a free relaxation track to listen to in your own time.
For anybody curious about what hypnosis is, or who would just like to experience half an hour of pure relaxation, I also offer 30 minute mind massage sessions. Guided visualisation is designed to help you to feel relaxed and refreshed (no therapy is included in these sessions).
I am registered with the Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapists, I'm fully insured and DBS checked.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have a BA (Hons) degree in Psychology from the University of Sussex.
I qualified to become a hypnotherapist through Clifton Practice Hypnotherapy Training in Manchester who are considered to be the top training centre in the country for solution focused hypnotherapists.
Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy
The Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (AfSFH) was set up to provide information about a modern form of Hypnotherapy and its associated benefits to members of the public. The main aim of the AfSFH is to spread awareness of the benefits of Solution Focused Hypnotherapy. Its secondary aim is to support Hypnotherapists in their businesses by encouraging good practice and self-care.
