I want to make a difference to people who are looking to make changes whether it be weight loss, stopping smoking, phobia's or other fears, anger management, public speaking, driving test or exam nerves, It could be something as simple as wanting to be able to concentrate more and be more focused on goals. There is nothing that hypnotherapy cannot help with.
Some changes need only be small to make a difference. For example, if you want to lose weight, suggestions about healthy eating (using foods you actually like) will make a difference rather than trying to force yourself to stop eating everything you like, even if it is bad for you. Wouldn't it be better to just eat pizza one night a week instead of 4 and make healthier choices the other nights rather than trying to stop yourself eating pizza entirely. That will just lead to misery. The same can be said for reducing drinking, or going to the gym. You don't need to try and force yourself to go 5 nights out of 7 when say 2 or 3 will suffice to start and in so doing will start to form a new "habit" which will be easier to maintain and you may actually enjoy it!
I have a particular interest in stress and anxiety and what it does to the body and the mind. Some stress is good for us, it's what gets us out of bed and focused in the morning but too much stress affects a persons physical as well as mental health. A large percentage of the population suffer with chronic stress or anxiety. Stress is our bodies natural reaction to fear and change. Our subconscious, which is responsible for our survival, sends us into fight or flight mode when it perceives a threat to us. Unfortunately, it does not differentiate between genuine life-threatening danger and every day occurrences such as a meeting with the boss or being late for work.
Symptoms of stress are:
- not sleeping well
- gaining weight, especially around the abdomen even when eating well and exercising
- more prone to infections and colds
- increased backaches, neckaches and headaches
- gut/digestion issues
- mood swings, anxiety and depression
- lack of libido
Stress can also lead to mineral and vitamin deficiencies in the long term such as:
- cracked lips (vitamin B6)
- teeth grinding (vitamin B5)
- white spots on the nails (zinc)
- constipation and diarrhoea (magnesium)
- bleeding gums (vitamin C)
- raised spots on limbs (vitamin E)
- throat and chest infections (vitamin A)
The good news is that stress and anxiety are easily treatable with hypnotherapy. You will be taught relaxation techniques and coping strategies to really make a difference to your day to day life, both personally and professionally.

I offer sessions on line via Zoom. Hypnotherapy works just as well over zoom as it does face to face with the added advantage of being able to have sessions from the comfort on your own home. There really is a lot to be said for no travel hassles alongside the comfort of your own settee or bed to lay on, together with a cup of tea/coffee in your favourite mug to aid relaxation and comfort.
I am also happy to offer local home visit appointments at no extra cost

I am flexible on appointment times and can offer appointments up to 9.30pm Monday to Friday and up to 5.30pm Saturdays

ARRANGING TREATMENT FOR HYPNOTHERAPY
Contact me and we can arrange a mutually convenient time to arrange a free telephone consultation which can take up to 30 minutes. I'll take some details from you and we can discuss what you need help me and how the sessions will work. I can also answer any questions you may have.
What happens during treatment sessions
I will have written a bespoke hypnosis session tailored to exactly what you need following the initial consultation so your treatment progresses successfully.
Treatment sessions are usually about an hour long.
What happens during Hypno-counselling sessions
Each session is 90 minutes long. The first part of the session is the Counselling Part which deals with why you have the problems/issues you currently have, and we work to resolve the underlying causes. The second part of the session is the Hypnotherapy script. The two modalities combined make a powerful combination for the permanent resolution of symptoms.
I hold an Enhanced DBS Check Certificate (used to be called CRB Check) and so can work with children and vulnerable adults.
Hypnotherapy is just as effective over Zoom as it is face to to face. Interestingly the testimonials on my website and my google reviews are mainly from client's that I have worked with via zoom.
