About me

Therapy | Hypnotherapy | BWRT

Helping you find success and happiness at home, at work and in everyday life.

About Claire:

Professional therapist Claire Gaskin has been helping people find success and happiness for 25 years. She manages busy clinics in central London and Essex, and regularly works with people worldwide via Skype and FaceTime.

An early interest in what makes us tick led Claire to study sociology and psychology, followed by a successful career helping young people with complex needs to achieve their full potential.

Nowadays, she uses her training and experience to work with people of all ages, helping them create the life they really want.

Claire specialises in BWRT, a fast and powerful technique for change. Its creator, Terence Watts, says: “Claire is destined, I believe, to be a leader in the field of BrainWorking Recursive Therapy!”

Claire says:

"My life's work is helping people overcome whatever is holding them back from living the life they really want.

Anxiety is a normal part of everyday life which affects everyone. It’s what we feel when we are worried or afraid, and will come and go as a natural reaction to stressful situations.

However, some people experience anxiety and panic attacks as a response to situations or things that other people do not usually feel anxious about.

This can be upsetting and produce uncomfortable, unwanted symptoms.

But the good news is that you CAN overcome it.

I specialise in working with anxiety and Generalised Anxiety Disorder - even with complex cases, 4 or 5 sessions is often all you will need.

I'll be able to tell you more during your free consultation"

Irritable Bowel Syndrome is a common condition which can blight people's lives. Apart from uncomfortable physical symptoms, people with IBS often talk about the anxiety that comes with it - such as worrying about a trip involving a long journey, or panicking about being away from home when doing the weekly shopping. Even social events can become an ordeal.

Claire offers an online programme which can help with the psychological effects of this condition.

If you have a medical diagnosis of IBS then this programme may be exactly right for you.

Claire says: "In my book of real-life success stories, the final case summary is of a lady with IBS who completed my online programme. Afterwards she went on holiday and upon her return told me that something 'just clicked' while she was away.

She said that her digestive problems were ‘much relieved’ and that although there was a little occasional abdominal discomfort, it was much less than it used to be. Best of all, she said she had more energy and was feeling less anxious."

As part of her work in helping people to live the life they really want, Claire has developed an online programme designed to overcome obstacles to happiness and success, and build personal confidence by raising self-esteem and self-belief.

Claire says:

"Sometimes our life experiences create a psychological pattern which means we lack confidence, even when we appear confident on the outside.

When we lack inner confidence we might continually doubt ourselves, feel inadequate or like a failure, so much so that we can’t really enjoy life to the full.

This pattern of thinking can affect even the most successful people, the world doesn’t see that – deep inside – there is a feeling of somehow not being good enough."

The online confidence programme will help you to:

  • Increase Confidence
  • Banish Self-Doubt
  • Improve Self-Esteem
  • Reduce Life Stress
  • Boost Performance
  • Overcome Anxiety
  • Find Your Happy
  • Feel Good Enough
  • Enjoy Being You

How does it work?
A tried and tested programme which changes unwanted feelings deep within your core self, building self-worth and self-belief - as well as goal-setting, motivation and desire - so that you can start to enjoy being you, finding success and happiness at home, at work, and in everyday life.

What do you get?
Four x weekly online appointments with Claire. Session times vary between 1-2 hours PLUS you receive support between appointments.

"Whether you're looking to be free from anxiety or increase your self-esteem and confidence, I’m confident I can help you.

Initial telephone consultations are completely free and carry no obligation.

To get started, all you need to do is let me know which days/times are most convenient to talk, and the best number to call you on.

Very best wishes and I look forward to hearing from you,

I approached Claire to help me with my self belief and self confidence. When she told me she could help I got excited and booked up immediately, I didn’t know what to expect from the sessions and found them a mixture of excitement and nervousness.

As the sessions progressed I could feel and see changes happening, I had other people commenting that I was acting differently and most of all I was doing things I wouldn’t have done before.

Now that it has come to an end I can say that I feel that I am a completely different person in a very good way.

I would highly recommend this therapy to anyone that is thinking of seeking help.JB, Grays Thurrock

"This therapy is fantastic for any childhood traumas, phobias, any addiction, and so much more. I would recommend Claire who is very professional and very good at her job. My story is from my past starting when I had been eleven years old childhood trauma and so much more…

I can honestly say this is the best thing I have done in my life and the results are amazing.

Claire I can’t thank you enough." SC, Southend-on-Sea

"I cannot recommend Claire highly enough!! It's frankly awesome that in one session Claire has cured me of an increasing fear of heights that was causing paralysing panic attacks. I am now able to ski again and enjoy lovely cliff walks down in my favourite place on the north coast of Cornwall!

It has made such a huge difference and I am so grateful to Claire and her wonderful BWRT!!

A big THANK YOU!!" CB, Thorpe Bay

Claire, just had to tell you now I’m home, today was by far the biggest thing I’ve ever accomplished in my life.

I keep smiling to myself. I actually couldn’t be any prouder of ME! Three years ago being able to drive was beyond my wildest dreams so to get to today’s moment is amazing.

Meeting you was lovely too.TC, Essex

When I initially attended sessions with Claire l was struggling with my self-esteem and willpower to succeed in certain areas of my life. Claire was very friendly, understanding and professional in her approach to help me, and made me feel at ease straight away. During my therapy other issues came up and together we successfully resolved them.

Now my sessions are complete and I have a more positive and confident outlook on life and, with the techniques I have learnt, I feel happy that I have the knowledge to tackle any difficulty that comes my way.

I would happily recommend Claire to my friends and family and revisit her myself if I felt the need. I have nothing but praise for Claire and her abilities.LK, Essex

Having been in the same job for 13 years I was becoming very bored of the same routine day in day out, it was then without realising I started to go to the vending machine at work buying pasties and sausage rolls to eat at my desk to try and eleviate [sic] the boredom. This soon became a very bad habit spending £2 – £4 per day on junk food when I was on shift, perhaps not a massive amount of money but when you have a young family with 3 children you would grab someone’s hand if they offered you an extra £50 or so each month !

It was through a friend that BWRT therapy was introduced to me. I was a little sceptical at first but what an AMAZING therapy BWRT is !!! During the therapy I had to replace my thoughts and feelings of binge eating on the sausage rolls and pasties with my preferred and positive outcome. I chose that each time I felt the urge to go to the vending machine I would choose to have a glass of water instead and it has worked !

It has been approximately 5 months since my visit to see Claire and I can honestly say I have NOT bought or had the urge to eat a sausage roll or pasty from a vending machine OR shop since my visit.

Thank you Claire!!!GD, Braintree

"On the way into work today a wasp landed on my little finger. I was on the phone at the time. I calmly put my phone and bags on the ground and watched it walk over my hand for a few moments fasinated. I then slowly tried to put the wasp onto the leaves of the tree next to me. It carried on exploring my hand. I then made a very gentle movement to encourage it onto the wall underneath the tree. It then went onto the wall. I picked up my phone and bags and carried on with my journey to work and my chat to my friend on the phone. I was smiling lots :D #BWRT

This was my Status this morning thanks to Claire :)

Thank you so much! Still smiling." RL, Brighton

Claire very skilfully helped me to identify and express my issues with public performance and also to recognise some self-defeating habits and attitudes which were unconsciously holding me back.

A single 90 minute session has given me a very different perspective and enabled me to enjoy performing again, I feel positive and re-energised. I am extremely grateful.” JG, Chelmsford

For as long as I can remember I have suffered from anger issues. My over the top reactions to situations that others take in their stride have caused issues with friends and family and ended more than one relationship. Having tried various solutions over the years such as anti-anxiety and depression medication as well as cognitive therapy it was with some scepticism that I undertook a BWRT session with Claire.

I can honestly say that I have been stunned by the results.

I am a lot calmer in scenarios that would previously have seen the red mist descend and am better able to cope without resorting to rage. I have no idea how it works but it does!ID, Harwich

"I met with Claire after having a mental block with my sport. It's not normally something I would of done but I gave it a go as I needed the help.

Claire is amazing at her job, she is really lovely person and you can tell she really cares for her clients. The method of therapy she used for me helped a lot and I would defiantly recommend her to anyone. :)" CE, Southend-on-Sea

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Claire Gaskin for the help I received whist attending therapy. I had previously attended therapy at a few places, but was always left with a feeling of unfinished business. I am glad to say that this wasn’t the case with Claire. The BWRT structure and Claire’s professionalism put me at ease and will be remembered by myself for many years.

If I’m honest, I was not in a good place prior to this therapy, the future wasn’t something I looked forward to or indeed expected. But with Claire’s understanding and guidance I feel that I do have a future and I can make a difference.

BWRT has changed my life.RE, Westcliff-on-Sea

"Going to see Claire after being involved in a fatal car accident was the best thing I could have done. Travelling in a car had become almost intolerable, especially as a passenger.

I can’t really get my head round how the therapy worked, all I know is it did and I am so grateful, thank you Claire." JR, Loughton

"1 year ago today that I was diagnosed with ptsd. Here I am today not recognising the person I was. Thank you claire for your help. Due to BWRT I am the strong confident happy person I am today. I can’t thank you enough" LC, Essex

"I stumbled across Claire purely by accident on the web ….. I have had a few sessions now with Claire for all completely different problem areas in my life – every single one has worked. It is like Magic! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND her therapy.

If it can work on me – it can work on anybody. If you have any kind of problem in your life, and may be doubtful of this kind of therapy, give it a go! You have nothing to lose – only massive amount to gain.

You can be set free." LB, Essex
