Cecile Hemery - Managing stress and building self-confidence
I am Hypnotherapist and a Life Coach. French woman living in London the borough of Camden, I practice mainly online (via Zoom) in English and French.
I work with clients who are looking to better cope with stress and anxiety, build resilience and make better decision for themselves.
I also help people with:
- Self-confidence and self-esteem,
- Assertiveness training,
- Clarity and problem solving,
- Managing undesirable habits (e.g. nail biting, face picking, etc.)
- Belonging and fitting-in,
- Public speaking and networking,
- Social anxiety.
I am working with a Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy approach, combining CBT techniques with Hypnotherapy. It aims at exploring how we act (behavioural) and how we think (cognitive) and teaching you the skills you need to be able to cope. I am also using elements of mindfulness, heart-focused breathing and coaching. I adapt my approach depending on you, your goals and your wishes. And most importantly, I listen to you.
What I offer is a safe space where you can open up, and explore these areas of your life that you want to change, these challenges that you would like to overcome, these new habits that you would like to embrace; and tools to help you on the way.
How to get started?
First, either through the booking link below or by contacting me through email/phone, let's organise a first chat, 20 minutes, for free, to allow us to get to know each other and for you to ask any questions you might have.
After this discussion, you have the choice to go ahead with the sessions or leave it there. It is up to you and what feels right for you.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have a diploma in Cognitive-Behavioural Hypnotherapy (Hypno-CBT), a licensed HearthMath coach and am training with the Institute of Professional Excellence in Coaching (iPEC).
I am accredited by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC) and registered with the General Hypnotherapy Register (GHR), the National Council Hypnotherapy (NCH) and Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC).
Prior to my practice as a hypnotherapist, I have worked for 15 years in the mobile gaming industry and lived in 5 countries across 3 continents.
Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council
The CNHC encompasses many types of alternative therapy, including hypnotherapy.
In order to be admitted to the register a practitioner must have studied to the National Occupational Standards for that profession/discipline, or have reached the equivalent of the National Occupational Standards through other relevant training or at least three years of experience and been assessed by their peers.
A practitioner must also have professional insurance and agree to abide by the CNHC Code of Conduct, Performance and Ethics.
The General Hypnotherapy Register
Hypnotherapists may become members of the General Hypnotherapy Register if they satisfy certain criteria with regard to both training and ongoing requirements as determined from time to time by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC).
Members are either registered at Practitioner status (which confirms that the GHR acknowledges their qualification to practice), or Affiliate status. Although Affiliate level registrants will have completed a sufficient number of training hours to equip them to commence seeing clients on a limited basis, the GHR does not acknowledge them to have yet been trained to full practitioner level.
All GHR Registered Practitioners are required to accept the published Code of Ethics and Complaints & Disciplinary Procedure.
National Council for Hypnotherapy
The National Council for Hypnotherapy holds one of the largest registers of independent Hypnotherapists in the United Kingdom and strives to maintain the highest standards among its members.
There is an agreed Code of Conduct, an established Complaints & Disciplinary Procedure and all members are obliged to maintain comprehensive Public Liability & Professional Indemnity Insurance, maintain regular CPD (continuing professional development) hours, and attend Supervision when needed.
Accredited register membership
Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
Areas of hypnotherapy I deal with
Information about health conditions (*)
Hypnotherapy can enhance the well-being of individuals diagnosed with serious medical conditions, but should not take the place of medical treatment and advice. If you have been diagnosed with - or suspect you may have - any of these conditions, please speak to your doctor before starting hypnotherapy.
Other areas of hypnotherapy I deal with
I am also a Life Coach and offer coaching services. While hypnotherapy is more oriented toward overcoming a situation and learning coping skills, Life Coaching is more about how to help you get to that next step where you'd like to go, achieve that special something that means "more" to you.
I help clients transform their lives, and grow. I work with people who are looking for clarity and make better decision for themselves.
Maybe you are questioning your career, your work-life balance. Maybe you have a feeling you are in the wrong directions and looking for answers. Maybe you have a goal, a dream that you feel you don't know how to reach, and would like to. My role is to help you in your journey.

What my clients say:
"Throughout our sessions, Cecile has been nothing but kind, attentive and insightful. I left each session feeling peaceful and perfectly relaxed. I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone wanting to start hypnotherapy."
- Iris L, London - Camden
"I had suffered with nail biting for over 15 years and had tried multiple solutions that had all failed to stop me. After meeting Cecile just 3 times and putting what she taught me to practice, I haven't gone back to biting my nails. Honestly changed my life and I'm still stunned by the power of this practice."
- Frankie G., London - Kentish Town
"I’ve undertaken several coaching sessions with Cecile and each one has proved extremely helpful in empowering me to find solutions. Her gentle and well-informed approach meant that I felt my issue was heard and understood, and as a result of her coaching approach I was able to grasp the situation with clarity and find the answers I was looking for. I would highly recommend Walayance Coaching to anyone looking for a quality and effective coaching experience."
- Amy R., London - Harringay
My experience with Cecile was wonderful. Using a combination of all of her skills she organically supported me and helped me on my way to healing some childhood traumas.
She’s got such a beautiful calm energy and I felt very comfortable to be honest and express myself to her. Her language was always clear and non judgemental and her ability to listen and really hear what was going on within me, and then identity an appropriate action, was remarkable.
I was surprised how much came out during the sessions and how quickly I made progress.
Cecile made it clear that she was there for me outside of the sessions also which was a great comfort at time’s.
I have gone through other therapies which definitely held their merit for me at the time, but what I loved about Cecile’s approach, is it was one of questioning. This room for self expression is freeing and enables one to build self trust and confidence as we work out all that’s been suppressed within.
I highly recommend her services and will always be grateful for the help she gave me"
- Sarah R., London - King's Cross
