Fully Qualified Hypnotherapist.
My name is Carole Allen and I am a Counsellor and Hypnotherapist and my aim is to help you explore your feelings and emotions, which can be helped with both counselling and hypnotherapy. Often, the process of just speaking to a non-judgmental and empathic listener are all people need to feel better about their circumstances. Counselling and hypnotherapy are offered in a confidential setting to enable you to explore your feelings and perhaps understand yourself from a different perspective. The aim is to build a trusting relationship between client and counsellor to enable the client to speak freely and know they will not be judged.
I have a Diploma in Integrative Counselling and am a member of BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) and have specialised in drug and alcohol addiction and bereavement work. I have been a hypnotherapist for ten years and am a member of The General Hypnotherapy Register and also have a Diploma in NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming). I am DBS registered (Disclosure and Barring Service) which ensures that I have been fully vetted by this service to ensure the public’s safety.
I have also worked with vulnerable people and people with learning disabilities for over twenty years in my role as a complementary therapist. I pride myself on being non-judgmental and offering a trusting, confidential and empathic service to my clients. I find that many of my clients benefit from a mixture of counselling and hypnotherapy and I offer this to all my clients if they wish to take advantage of both services. Counselling and hypnotherapy is a powerful mixture which benefits many clients.
Training, qualifications & experience
The General Hypnotherapy Register
Hypnotherapists may become members of the General Hypnotherapy Register if they satisfy certain criteria with regard to both training and ongoing requirements as determined from time to time by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC).
Members are either registered at Practitioner status (which confirms that the GHR acknowledges their qualification to practice), or Affiliate status. Although Affiliate level registrants will have completed a sufficient number of training hours to equip them to commence seeing clients on a limited basis, the GHR does not acknowledge them to have yet been trained to full practitioner level.
All GHR Registered Practitioners are required to accept the published Code of Ethics and Complaints & Disciplinary Procedure.
