At last the days are getting longer, and hopefully warmer weather is on the horizon. I don’t know about you, but the Winter seems to have been a long one and certainly a very cold one.
As the daffodils and crocuses start to pop up and come into flower there is a wonderful sense of new beginning with the arrival of Spring and with that perhaps renewed optimism for 2018.
So, how are you getting on with those New Year resolutions? Did you give up in the first two months of the year and therefore, do you want to get back on track. What is it in 2018 you are hoping to change?
Whatever it is you want to achieve, hypnotherapy can provide that extra help and really support you in achieving your goals.
Spring is such a good time to review what it is that you would like to achieve during the coming months ahead. It is a perfect time to start making plans and perhaps discover what is holding you back. Once you do that, you can really start taking action.
Hypnotherapy is a wonderful support tool if you are struggling with anxiety which prevents you from leading a fulfilled life; you want to quit smoking; really achieve the weight loss you desire, or anything else; with the assistance of a skilled hypnotherapist it’s possible to use the hypnotic state to make deep and lasting changes to the way you live your life. Working in conjunction with more traditional therapies, I believe that hypnotherapy as an integrative therapy has an important part to play in achieving well-being.
During the first session we will discuss the presenting issue so we can plan session content, further sessions, their frequency and number. Usually I would recommend a minimum of two to three sessions to treat most problems with no upper limit and on the first visit you will experience hypnosis at the end of the session.
Most hypnotherapy sessions with me will last 60 minutes, except for smoking cessation, where it is possible for successful treatment of one session lasting 90 minutes up to two hours, or two consecutive sessions of 45 mins. In addition to the session rates below, if you would prefer I am happy to have a brief chat on the phone before arranging an appointment.
Training, qualifications & experience
Having worked in a healthcare setting for all of my working life, when my family became adults I knew I wanted to develop my skills to be able to help people on a more personal level. With this in mind I initially trained as a Reiki therapist which not only awakened my desire for learning but also led me onto training to become a Life Coach. I gained my Post Graduate Diploma in Life, Business and Executive Coaching with Elliott-Griffiths Coaching in Exeter in 2012, accredited by the EMCC.
A month after qualifying as a Life Coach, I began my training in hypnotherapy with the London College of Clinical Hypnotherapy (LCCH) in partnership with the University of West London (UWL) and achieved a Certificate of Personal and Professional Development in Clinical Hypnosis, level 6 in 2012. I achieved a Post Graduate Certificate in Clinical Hypnotherapy, level 7 in 2015.
I am an associate member of the British School of Clinical Hypnotherapists and have attended CPD master classes in:
- Effective Pain Control
- Sports Hypnosis and Performance Enhancement
- Working with Disordered Eating
- Treating Depression with Hypnotherapy
- Using Hypnosis with Cancer Patients
- Working with the Inner Child
- Obesity causes and consequences
- Treating Intrusive Thoughts and the Inner Critical Voice
I completed basic training in Logosynthesis with the Institute for Logosynthesis in June 2014, and attended a practice training during in October 2016.
In January 2017 I completed a course with the University of Reading, looking closely at obesity, its causes and how it affects individuals health.
I believe that my working history, education and life events enable me to have a deep understanding and empathy with my patients and clients and I am filled with excitement and enthusiasm about this next venture in my working life.
