About me

As there is no substitute for experience - I have 15 years under my belt.

I am locally based with easily accessible locations in Clifton, Cotham and Westbury-On-Trym and I continue with professional development at the Clifton Practice in Bristol.

Registered member of The National Council For Hypnotherapy and insured for practice.

I focus on a supportive, collaborative and non judgemental approach - would like to regard myself as a sympathetic, caring and an understanding type of person - I am passionate, motivated and driven in providing the best help for my clients. ; which I think are the key elements to my success.

Qualified in Psychotherapy, Hypnotherapy and Counselling - which are regarded as the main disciplines for the attainment of better mental health. I have been trained by the best providers in the field and I provide help with Hypnotherapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Solution Focused Brief Therapy.

I offer effective, evidence based therapy; which is tried and tested - to help with the various forms of psychological issues that people suffer from.

My previous career history includes that of a serving Police officer , Computer Engineer and Electrical Engineer - for me the journey towards therapy began 15 years ago; way back in 2003, when I trained with Chrysalis, run by Dr Chris Forester - and the desire to become a therapist originated previously; after having a course of therapy for a whole host of issues myself and being amazed by the results.

I have successfully helped many clients, from all walks of life, to achieve the results that they desire.

In asking my clients (post therapy ) - what they were initially looking for when they first decided to seek professional help – overwhelmingly; it was to have the confidence, connection and trust; in the ability of the therapist to help to achieve the results.

Other matters included; someone who would listen; really listen; and to understand their needs in order to help find the solutions - to make it a pleasant, easy and comfortable experience; in a timely; cost effective fashion.

I am pleased to have ticked all the boxes and will continue to grow my client bank and will always do the very best to keep any waiting lists to a minimum.

I can understand how difficult it can be to pick up the phone and seek professional help: you may feel that the problem may go away of its own accord, embarrassment , vulnerability or even doubts about the effectiveness of therapy and confusion about the different types.

As such, I offer a free initial consultation, so that you may ask all the questions that you need and to convince yourself that you have found the right kind of therapy at the right place. You can also be assured of a safe place and time to resolve complicated feelings, make sense of things and to understand yourself better.

You may have struggled with your issue for quite some time or perhaps have had therapy which did not quite hit the mark, either way please feel free to call me to discuss your issue and to discover the help that is available.
