About me
Do you want to transform your life?
Do you want to get off the treadmill and start living the life you deserve?
· Maybe you are feeling overwhelmed and it is starting to make you feel stressed and anxious?
· Or maybe you are feeling overwhelmed and stuck in old beliefs which are no longer helping you?
· Or maybe you are paralysed by fears or phobias and these are stopping you from living your life to the fullest?
We can all feel a bit stuck sometimes and, but occasionally this can become a recurring pattern of behaviour which can start to cause some real problems. Sometimes these behaviours can stop us living our fullest possible life. For example, stress can cause some serious physical health issues such a high blood pressure, digestive issues and headaches. It is much better to deal with these beliefs and behaviours before they start to become more serious.
Do any of these feel familiar to you:
· I feel stressed and anxious
· I can’t sleep
· I feel stuck in a rut
· I am suffering from digestive problems
· I have a phobia or fear
· I have lost my confidence
· I keep repeating patterns of behaviour and I want to stop
If so then I can definitely help you. I have been there. A few years ago I could have said ‘yes’ to most of those statements.
I started working in human resources over 20 years ago. To start with I thought that this was my true calling in life. I loved what I did. I loved supporting managers and teams to be the very best that they could. But over time I became frustrated as I was being away from doing what I loved into aspects of the job I didn’t care about as much as supporting people.
I found that I was no longer able to be authentic. I found that I was constantly having to compromise my own values for the aims of the organisations I was working for. It became uncomfortable, stressful, and I started suffering from depression and IBS.
So when I was made redundant for the 5th time (yes 5th!) I decided that I wanted to focus on what I really care about and I set about training in coaching and NLP to be able to support people to get the lives they deserve. Then I discovered hypnotherapy. I was struggling with depression and I couldn’t see my way out of it. So I saw a few therapists and found my way back. So I decided to train as a hypnotherapist myself to add to my other training to be able to help clients at a deeper level and I have never looked back.
I work with a range of people from different backgrounds with a range of different issues to help them break old habits, release their fears, sleep better, and to live fuller and freer lives.
My values are:
· Honesty
· Support
· Authenticity
· Development
And I bring these into my relationships with my clients.
I am passionate about my own development and I am constantly learning new strategies to help my clients. I love teaching and I work with clients to teach them tools and strategies to work on outside of our sessions to ensure that they are able to be the best they can be after our sessions are finished.
I don’t believe in a ‘one size fits all’ approach. We are all unique with our own issues and beliefs. So I spend time to really listen to what is going on with my clients and to find the best range of approaches to deal with their concerns and to support them to move out of whatever is leaving them stuck.
Here’s what some people are saying about working with me:
I had been taking sleeping tablets for 13 years and had managed to reduce
the amount I was taking but never managed to successfully stop taking them
completely. I approached Annabel in the hope that hypnotherapy would help
me finally be rid of the need to take sleeping tablets. Annabel listened to
me and gave me loads of useful advice and after just 6 sessions I was able
to sleep through the night without resorting to tablets. I am so happy I
have been able to get to sleep without worrying.

I’ve suffered with anxiety for as long as I can remember and relatively often I would suffer from anxiety attacks which would really take their toll mentally and physically. I chose to work with Annabel as I liked that fact that she used a variety of techniques and tailored them specifically to her clients and the situation or anxiety at hand in my case. After a couple of months I had made great progress, not only was I sleeping better and having less frequent anxiety attacks but in certain, previously anxiety inducing situations, I noticed that I felt a lot more in control. I’d definitely recommend Annabel to anyone looking for a therapist.
