Anna Ritchie specialises in helping people with PTSD, trauma, anxiety and weight control.
Anna is a GHR-Reg clinical hypnotherapist and an Advanced BLAST Technique® Practitioner; the BLAST Technique® is a refined form of EMDR.
About the BLAST Technique®:
Neuroscience research shows that structures in the right side/hemisphere of the brain are overactive and acting as if there is an immediate threat in sufferers of PTSD and trauma utilises precise bi-lateral movements with a light pen (which helps the memory access the left side/hemisphere of the brain) and specific suggestions to the client which helps reprocess the traumatic event so they understand what happened and can remember, but it no longer has any physical or emotional response.
Anna also integrates other therapeutic disciplines such as the Rewind Technique and EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) to help relieve trauma or uncover the root cause of a presenting issue.
Anna offers one-to-one hypnotherapy sessions or online sessions via Skype.

Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council
The CNHC encompasses many types of alternative therapy, including hypnotherapy.
In order to be admitted to the register a practitioner must have studied to the National Occupational Standards for that profession/discipline, or have reached the equivalent of the National Occupational Standards through other relevant training or at least three years of experience and been assessed by their peers.
A practitioner must also have professional insurance and agree to abide by the CNHC Code of Conduct, Performance and Ethics.
The General Hypnotherapy Register
Hypnotherapists may become members of the General Hypnotherapy Register if they satisfy certain criteria with regard to both training and ongoing requirements as determined from time to time by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC).
Members are either registered at Practitioner status (which confirms that the GHR acknowledges their qualification to practice), or Affiliate status. Although Affiliate level registrants will have completed a sufficient number of training hours to equip them to commence seeing clients on a limited basis, the GHR does not acknowledge them to have yet been trained to full practitioner level.
All GHR Registered Practitioners are required to accept the published Code of Ethics and Complaints & Disciplinary Procedure.
Accredited register membership
Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Information about health conditions (*)
Hypnotherapy can enhance the well-being of individuals diagnosed with serious medical conditions, but should not take the place of medical treatment and advice. If you have been diagnosed with - or suspect you may have - any of these conditions, please speak to your doctor before starting hypnotherapy.

Past Life Regression Therapy
Whether you believe in past lives or not, past life regression therapy is an incredibly powerful form of healing. Based on the premise that your subconscious or higher mind will guide you to a significant event in your past that requires your attention, it is possible to experience forgiveness, release negative energy, break repetitive patterns and understand more about yourself and your life's purpose.
The origin of any information received is, in many respects, irrelevant. Yes, it could indeed be a recollection of a previous existence or it could be one's imagination operating freely and metaphorically in order to express certain needs or desires.
Most importantly, however, is the level of healing that can be achieved. Many people experience deep, profound or intense emotions and in the hands of a trained therapist, any obvious or persistent unresolved issues can be worked through and reconciled.
Anna has trained in past life therapy with internationally recognised past life regression hypnotherapist, Lorraine Flaherty.
