About me
I am a Psychotherapist accredited by the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and a Senior Registered Clinical Hypnotherapist on the General Hypnotherapy Register (GHS). I am also a Practitioner Psychologist Accredited by Health Care Professions Council.
I specialise in the treatment of anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder through the use of hypnosis, psychotherapy and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) and have worked for the last eight years in adult mental health settings, including the Priory Hospital.
I have also developed brief structured interventions to help clients with labour, weight loss and performance development. Please visit my website www.andyflack.com for further details.
I am a registered Sport and Performance Psychologist and specialise in the use of hypnosis to improve performance. You can check out our performance consultancy at www.the4ways.com.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have been registered with the UKCP since 2006 in the Hypno-Psychotherapy section. I was granted Senior Practitioner status by the General Hypnotherapy Register two years ago. I am also a Practitioner Psychologist accredited by the Health and Care Professions Council.
I would invite prospective clients to visit the websites of these organisations in order to be aware of their stringent standards for membership and their ethical propriety.
I have worked in psychiatric clinics (such as the Priory) and in private practice for over 20 years specialising in adult mental health. Also, I run a successful performance consultancy working with athletes, creative performers and businessmen. (www.the4ways.com).
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
Hypnotherapists may become members of the General Hypnotherapy Register if they satisfy certain criteria with regard to both training and ongoing requirements as determined from time to time by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC).
Members are either registered at Practitioner status (which confirms that the GHR acknowledges their qualification to practice), or Affiliate status. Although Affiliate level registrants will have completed a sufficient number of training hours to equip them to commence seeing clients on a limited basis, the GHR does not acknowledge them to have yet been trained to full practitioner level.
All GHR Registered Practitioners are required to accept the published Code of Ethics and Complaints & Disciplinary Procedure.
