About me

In the right hands, Hypnotherapy is an amazing tool - clearing anxieties, phobias, trauma, bad habits and more. Only a handful of sessions are typically needed – to build self confidence, be free of debilitating emotions and to have a life of greater control.

My aim is that you are in control of your lives once again in whatever area is out of control. And that you will have experiences of deep relaxation.

How long it takes: Everyone’s situation is different, but I aim to take as few sessions as possible. Often people need no more than two to four sessions to make significant progress and lasting improvements; sometimes fewer. It is often the case that if a client comes to see me more than 2 or 3 times then the intervals between sessions tend to get a little longer, so it's not a case of having to book 6 weekly sessions in one go.

My clients: I work with people with a very wide range of issues including depression, anxiety, stress and overload, addictions, panic attacks, phobias, PTSD, poor self-esteem and lack of confidence.

I work with each of my clients to set achievable and realistic goals continuing at a pace which suits them; helping them to feel better and take back control of their lives. Some clients come to me with one small issue with which they want help and others come with complex and long standing difficulties.

I am a Human Givens therapist.  Human Givens is accredited by the Professional Standards Authority for Health and Social Care.  Human Givens teaches the use of hypnotherapy as a vital tool.  It is a holistic approach to emotional health, rooted in the latest science and best practice, which is now recognised by the NHS for its proven and rapid help for depression, anxieties and all emotional problems.

Where I am I have my full time practice at my home in St Austell, Cornwall, PL25.

The areas where I can help you include:

  • anxieties, panic attacks, trauma
  • phobias - flying, heights, vomit, cats, dogs, spiders, motorways and so on
  • exam nerves
  • performance
  • public speaking
  • depression
  • sleep problems
  • pain relief
  • quit smoking
  • weight loss
  • nail biting
  • alcohol problems
  • other addictions
  • relationship problems
  • low self esteem and confidence
  • stress linked physical problems.

My website, over 200 pages, has a mass of information on Human Givens and much else, including case studies and testimonials and free mp3 downloads.

I am the author of "The Depression Optimist" - to support my specialty as a Depression Recovery Expert.

Other information I am now in my mid sixties and had a successful business career before training in the Human Givens, over ten years ago now.

I keep hard evidence of my progress with all my clients so know that the large majority (85% plus) will feel better quickly - in less than four sessions.
