Training, qualifications & experience

I have been working in the area of training and personal development throughout my career having originally graduated with an honours degree in psychology. I built on this with further qualifications in teaching, training, professional coaching, clinical hypnotherapy and hypnobirthing.

Qualifications include:

  • B Psych (Hons)
  • MBS (Hons)
  • DipCah (Diploma in clinical hypnotherapy)
  • Hypnosis for fertility
  • Hypnosis for birth preparation (Hypnobirthing)

Certificate in professional coaching practice

I have also completed many additional training courses (CPD) in hypnosis and therapeutic practice to continuously update my skills. My practice is constantly evolving.

I first experienced hypnotherapy almost ten years ago and I've not looked back since! Experiencing it from a client's perspective and realising the profound changes it had on me led me to train as a therapist.

Working as a practitioner in this area for many years across the public, private and voluntary sector, I have found hypnotherapy to be an effective way of helping people to overcome barriers that are impeding their lives. I have worked with individuals and groups across the UK, Ireland and internationally to identify the personal and/ or team outcomes that are important to them. By tapping into their own unique set of skills, resources, and capabilities, I have supported my clients with identifying and implementing the changes they want to see in their lives.

Client testimonials

Here is what a sample of my clients have had to say:

I had a session with Amy during my first pregnancy and used her hypnotherapy recordings. They were so helpful in connecting me with my body and breath during pregnancy and were invaluable as a tool for focusing my mind in preparation for labour and birth.

I found the tone and sound of Amy's voice really calming and grounding and I also really liked the accompanying background sounds. Amy's support, wealth of experience and compassionate approach was absolutely central in guiding and assisting me in having a positive birthing experience. I would highly recommend her services to any expectant mother.

GF - Women' Health Physiotherapist and Prenatal Yoga Teacher

Amy was super friendly and open and I felt like I was able to express my feelings without being judged and discuss the challenges I was facing so Amy could put together a plan to tackle these.

The hypnotherapy session itself was something completely new to me, but also something incredible! I really relaxed and was able to visualise things Amy was talking about which changed my original mindset on these topics.

If you’re a beginner, a little sceptical or somebody who is experienced in hypnotherapy, I would definitely recommend Amy. For me, it was a wonderful experience!

CB

Amy has massively improved my confidence and ability to stay relaxed and in flow with regards to my confidence and ability, which had affected my working life balance.. She is just brilliant. I absolutely recommend her to anyone for anything. Thanks Amy.

ES

I am self employed and juggle a lot of hats - my sessions with Amy were enlightening and had a lasting effect on how to manage my time as a result. She is professional to the core and an amazing listener, as for her voice she has the magic in her voice. I had my session on Zoom from the comfort of my sitting room relaxing on my sofa. 10/10

GC

We have had amazing results with Amy's work. After 1 session my daughter has started overcoming her phobia.

Her way with children is lovely. So calming. I would highly recommend her.
