About me
Hi, I’m Amy, a qualified, registered and experienced Cognitive-Behavioural Hypnotherapist. I am passionate about helping others to realise the life-changing results that can be achieved with Hypnotherapy.
I work 1:1 with professionals who are balancing demanding careers, family life, and personal challenges - all while trying to keep everything afloat. Whether it’s stress, anxiety, insomnia, people-pleasing, or struggling with low confidence, I help my clients regain control, reconnect with themselves, and build resilience - without adding more to their already full plates.
I work online or can meet clients face-to-face from my clinic in Chelmsford, Essex.
My academic background is in Psychology, and I spent many years in senior HR roles within professional services organisations - environments that are fast-paced, ambiguous and often stressful. I saw first-hand the impact that unmanaged stress can have on individuals and businesses, which led me to explore how to put robust well-being strategies in place to help people to thrive, despite whatever challenges they may be dealing with.
Studying Hypnotherapy was a natural choice for me – it changed my own life. I had lived ‘successfully’ for many years with an intense phobia of tube trains (I had developed quite elaborate ways of avoiding them!). However, I knew it was time to do something when my fear started generalising to other confined spaces – lifts, planes and even overground trains. I sought the help of a hypnotherapist and within a short space of time, I mastered control over my fears to the extent that I was able to travel on a tube during rush hour without any anxiety. That, in turn, opened so many opportunities in terms of where I worked, lived and socialised, and I realised just how much I had been limiting myself.
I now love guiding others to these same lightbulb moments, helping them gain the confidence and skills to overcome their issues and change their lives.

Further information
I meet all my clients with warmth and compassion – you’ll find no judgment here, however trivial or irrational you may think your issue is. I’m interested to know how it feels for you and how it impacts your life. We’ll work together to make sense of it and explore how you can start to address it.
Over the course of our sessions, you will develop the tools, techniques and confidence to become your own therapist.
I appreciate how challenging a decision it can be choosing the ‘right’ therapist. Therapy is a big investment of both your time and money, and it is important that you feel comfortable with the person you choose to work with. Please do reach out to me if you have any questions.
