About me

Hello and welcome,

I understand that it can daunting to seek help and support for something that is troubling you. I have been where you are, in my training and in my personal life, and the way I approach the work that I do is to help you feel as comfortable as possible. It is my aim to provide you with the best support that I can give. I want to help you achieve the changes you want to make. My clients see such positive results from their sessions, whether they come because they have a phobia or whether they want to resolve a deep traumatic experience. Hypnotherapy is safe, and so versatile.

In the last fifteen years I have worked therapeutically with young children, adolescents and adults providing support for stress, anxiety, panic attacks, depression and trauma based difficulties. Hypnotherapy is a very natural way to tackle change; hypnotic suggestion for changing thought processes (cognitions) is not only very effective, but an alternative and/or compliment to many prescribed medications (seek your GPs advice). Many of my clients come to me for that natural approach to improving their health and maintaining an better way of life.

Sessions With Me
I approach hypnotherapy from a humanistic, holistic and integrated approach.

I specialise in stress and anxiety where issues such as teeth grinding, IBS, and deeper physical sensations can be felt. I also work a lot with depression, childhood trauma including complex PTSD, and bereavement, loss and grief. I do much of this by focusing on relaxation techniques to aid self-help and self-empowerment. This enables you to take these techniques home with you and use them confidently, and not only enhances your well-being but provides you with improved self-esteem and confidence.

As well as the above, hypnosis also helps to reduce high blood pressure, improves sleep and aids digestion (good for weight loss).

I firstly gather information from you which helps me understand what it is you want to achieve, I then create a treatment plan specific to you. Hypnotherapy is one of the most relaxing processes you will come across and is a therapy that helps you make positive change. It not only helps in producing a positive outcome but is much more likely to lead to long lasting changes as opposed to a quick fix.

How Many Sessions?

Many clients say they feel the benefits of hypnosis even after just one session; they say that not only do they feel more relaxed but they also feel less distressed with improved mood and even sometimes with a 'spring in their step'. Clients also say they feel significantly better with less distressing physical symptoms or less severity in those symptoms, often after having only 2-3 sessions.

I advise that session 4 to 6 sessions are frequently good firm indication as to how hypnotherapy is working for you. At this stage I will ask you how you feel the sessions are going and if we can make any adjustments. It is important that as a client you feel in control of what you need and how often you need it with the skill and experience of myself as the therapist to facilitate and guide you.

Get In Touch
In the first instance, I offer a free phone consultation to have a brief talk about what you want to come to hypnotherapy for. If you would like to go ahead we can then book your first session and begin your treatment.

You can Email, call or text me, and I will get back to you usually within the same day.

I very much look forward to meeting you and helping you get the most out of hypnotherapy.

Amanda.

Fees

£75.00 - £110.00
Free initial in-person, telephone or online session

Additional information

Concessions are available, please ask during your consultation.

The majority of sessions are £75 per hour.

The cost increases for more specialised sessions such as stop smoking, and past life regression for example, and hypnobirthing sessions are a separate area that requires an initial phone call and assessment. Please feel free to ask me any questions you may have and I will do my best to support you. Equally, I will also let you know if what you are looking for is not an area I work in.

Psychotherapeutic skills are also incorporated into these sessions if required as I am a qualified psychotherapist. Not all sessions need this level of approach however as using psychotherapeutic skills makes for a more analytical and comprehensive style of hypnotherapy. This can and often results in less sessions than hypnotherapy alone.

Testimonials:

Anonymous: "I have been working with Amanda for several months. During this time i have received counselling and hypnotherapy. Amanda has worked in a gentle and positive way to help me move forward with a number of anxiety-related issues, i have developed a more positive attitude and my confidence and self-esteem have improved greatly. I have used counsellors and completed CBT course, however the impact of these have not been as useful and sustained as the improvement i have seen whilst working with Amanda. The hypnotherapy is relaxing and really helped me change my way of dealing with problems. I have recommended her to several friends, and will continue to as she has helped me so much."

Kay in Canterbury: "I've visited Amanda for a few months now, I can highly recommend her.She is a lovely caring person. I've felt very relaxed after the treatment. Thank you xx"

Helen in Ashford: "I visited Amanda today for hypnotherapy and she really was so calming and welcoming. I felt at ease the entire time and have been so very relaxed since my treatment. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Amanda"
