Discover how your mind can support you to uncover your true potential. Thought Org Coaching and Hypnotherapy has been established for over 8 years.
About me: I am an ex Nurse, and used to work in Neurology and Research into Memory Problems and became fascinated by the power of the subconscious mind and how it can support us to recover and heal. Hypnotherapy is useful in many settings and I have used it to overcome negative beliefs and behaviours with astonishing results.
I live in in Northumberland at the coast and I am married with a daughter who is grown up. My hobbies include, walking, swimming, Tai Chi and reading. I love to cook when feeling inspired and baking is always a good sign that I am content. I enjoy seeing friends, relaxing at home in the garden and travelling.
About the service: In addition to the Hypnotherapy skills, I am a Personal Development Coach, Advanced NLP Practitioner and use all of these skills to support others. I have specialised in Irritable Bowel Syndrome [IBS] Hypnotherapy. IBS is a debilitating 'functional disorder' which effects 1 in 5 of the UK population - you can look me up on the UK IBS Register http://www.ibsregister.com The programme is based on the National Institute of Clinical Excellence Guideline (No 61) for patients who suffer 6 acute episodes in a 12 months period regardless of conventional treatment. This is an add on to what the GP prescribes and a diagnosis of IBS is always established before therapy is commenced.
What is Hypnotherapy?: The relaxation and the eventual progressive nature of the therapy and recordings places the person back at control with coping mechanisms they can use for life. The trance state is a day dream quality of relaxation where the mind becomes suggestible to positive prompts, burying them deep in the subconscious to become a supportive habit and behaviour.
There is no such thing as an un-resourceful person, only an un-resourceful state.
Other skills: Besides Hypnotherapy, I deliver Corporate Coaching with bespoke workshops for teams and individual performance. In particular I coach Change Management which gives organisations an opportunity to take people with them in a altered environment. Participating in the workshop gives the individual and the team a sense of themselves, how to relate to change and adapting skills for outstanding attitudes and results. A comprehensive list of my workshop titles are on my website, www.thoughtorg.co.uk
Where I see clients: My Hypnotherapy clinics are in Amble, Northumberland, and will conduct home visits if needed due to disability or illness. Please see my website for clinic addresses & full contact details.
Areas of expertise: I work and collaborate with associate colleagues on topics such as IBS, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Eating Disorders, Insomnia, Recovery from Cancer, Phobia and Panic Attacks. On the more team side of the business I deliver workshops on Change Management, Presentation skills, Interview Skills, Anger Management, Stress and Time Management, Assertiveness Skills, and Coaching and Mentoring for Nurses (this list is not exhaustive).
And also: I provide resources for families with Looked After Children as priority.

Advocacy and Support Service:
Within the new NHS seeking the right type of help/support and treatment can be daunting. At Thought Org, we seek to empower individuals to access the right type of help - from the first time visit to the GP, to secondary care, investigations and treatment. Funding letters for Quality of Life and some objective assessment tools are also available and in some cases where people are at the end of their life, support to have the optimal quality care available is sought on their and their families behalf.
The service charge is £60 for the first Consultation which then includes the GP visit and discussion following this. Then the rate is £50 an hour after this with fuel paid also for transportation time to appointments. Full interpretation of results is included and letter writing and feedback.
I see clients on Tuesdays or Wednesdays in Amble, meetings and conferences are negotiable. Family therapy, couples therapy sessions are also available.
