About me

I am an experienced Solution Focused Hypnotherapist with practices in Exeter, Exminster and Whimple.

The type of hypnotherapy that I practice is Solution Focused which means that although we acknowledge a problem, we don't need to concentrate on it and instead focus on how you would prefer things to be be. It is a very relaxing and positive process and has been shown to help many disorders and conditions. All sessions are tailored around your individual needs and are enjoyable as well as therapeutic.

As a Solution Focused Hypnotherapist, I have helped many people and have experience of helping those with issues such as anxiety, low mood, fears and phobias, stress, panic attacks, confidence issues, relaxation, motivation issues, coping problems and much more.

I have many years experience of working with people, mainly in the health sector and am passionate about helping individuals to overcome their issues and move forward to a happier future. It was during my Nursing career that I first encountered the positive and very therapeutic qualities of Hypnotherapy. This inspired me to undertake hypnotherapy training for myself at the Observatory Practice in Plymouth, part of the renowned Clifton Practice Hypnotherapy Training.

I practice locally in Exminster, Exeter and Whimple and am able to work flexibly in all locations to best suit your needs. I offer a free Initial consultation which is a time for you to meet me and for us to discuss how Hypnotherapy can help you.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a fully qualified Hypnotherapist and hold a diploma in Hypnotherapy (DHP) and the Hypnotherapy Practitioners Diploma (HPD) in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy.

Fees

Each session is £60 and lasts approximately 50- 60 mins. These sessions are a combination of psychotherapy and hypnotherapy, using modern Solution focused techniques.

The Initial Consultation is FREE and is a chance for us to meet and discuss the changes that you want to make, so that you can decide if this is the right therapy for you. I will explain the way the brain creates the conditions we experience, and this in itself is a powerful catalyst for change. I will let you know how many sessions we can expect to be working together – specific phobias and fears usually take 3 sessions following the initial consultation, whereas general therapy requires 8-12 sessions, although this will vary from person to person. No trance work is included in this consultation, which lasts for 40-50 minutes.

Home consultations by special arrangement

Payment is taken at the end of each session by cheque or cash or BACS. I am currently unable to take card payments

I operate a 24 hour cancellation policy. If a session is cancelled with less than 24 hours notice, half payment is due for that session.
