About me

Business overview
I run a fully insured practice, which is ICO registered. I am a registered member of the CNHC and the BACP. I have regular supervision and continuing professional development.

As a Solution-Focused Hypnotherapist, I will work with you to look at what you want to achieve rather than on the problem(s) that prompted you to seek that change, we never dwell on the past. Solution Focused Hypnotherapists do not dwell on past problems because it is a forward-thinking, forward-looking process that creates positive changes that you can use in your day to day life.

You will be amazed at the changes that occur and your family and friends will see that change in you.

Solution-Focused Hypnotherapy combines hypnotherapy, with elements of Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP).

With this combination of psychotherapeutic techniques and your desire for change, you will see a dramatic shift in the way you see things and the way that you see your future (positive).

Life should be about more positivity because we always seem to dwell on negative problems that happen in our lives. By using solution-focused hypnotherapy you will shift your focus on what has been good (positive) and not what has been bad (negative).

Always remember that you can never change the past. What has happened has gone and staying negative will not eradicate past issues. Being positive will create a fresh template for change in how you see your future and with how you deal with future obstacles.

Training, qualifications & experience

I decided in 2010 after a long career in the private sector for over 22 years, mainly in the hospitality and caring areas, that I needed a complete change in my life. I embarked upon a journey that has taken me along the path of helping therapies, where I first gained a diploma after 5 years of training and learning, in Therapeutic Counselling in 2014.

I volunteered as a bereavement support volunteer for Cruse Bereavement Services for over 5 years. As part of their extensive training, I gained the Awareness in Bereavement Care: Level 2 Foundation certificate. I offered support to those affected by the loss of a loved one. I was also a Supervisor for Cruse. This involved working closely with other volunteers, by offering phone support, group supervision and 1 – 1 support to help them manage their caseloads, ensuring that they were ok, and to ensure they were working ethically within the guidelines set by Cruse.

As part of my further training with Cruse, I attended the following courses;

Childs Grief
Bereavement and Adults with Learning Disabilities.
Palliative Care Training
ASIST – Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training
Supervision: Foundation Course

I decided to expand on my skills and training at the Clifton Practice in Bristol under the tutelage of David Newton. The Practice is a recognised Centre of Excellence for hypnotherapy where I trained as a Clinical Hypnotherapist and Psychotherapist - offering the Gold Standard in hypnotherapy training, where I gained my Diploma in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (DSFH)

Initial Consultation
FREE preliminary and informal 50-minute session + free relaxation download or CD

Individual Sessions – £40 for 50 minutes - 1 hour.

No treatment takes place during the Initial Consultation, it is simply an opportunity to ascertain whether Solution-Focused therapy is a suitable therapeutic approach for you and to explain how the process works, why we can suffer in the way we do and above all how our brains work.

I offer corporate discounts and concessions for senior citizens, students, NHS staff and those on ESA and JSA
I offer half price sessions (£20) for those suffering or affected by cancer and discounted sessions (£25) for their family members

Private Health Cash Plans (Hypnotherapy)

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a hypnotherapist's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the hypnotherapist to discuss the options available.
