Self confidence building
Are you lacking in self-confidence or self-worth which is preventing you from meeting your future partner? Or maybe it prevents you from going for that better paid job you KNOW in your heart you are quite capable of doing? Perhaps you’re too worried to take your driving test?
A lack of confidence in ourselves can have so many repercussions, as you may be aware.
This lack of self-confidence and self-esteem can cause doubts in what are usually simple everyday tasks, like choosing what to wear when you go shopping; it’s hard when you always believe you look like rubbish anyway. You would like to try a new recipe you saw in a magazine, but you’re too worried to attempt it because you don’t believe you’re capable of following even a simple recipe. You feel you’re bound to misread the recipe, measure the ingredients incorrectly or even burn it.
A lack of self-esteem and confidence can prevent you meeting your future partner, prevent you from making new friends, causing you to go bright red in a group, or stop you contributing to a group conversation. It can stop you from going out walking, joining a gym, going swimming, starting a new hobby; in other words it can severely restrict your life and your enjoyment of it.
But why do you feel this? It’s totally unnecessary - everybody is entitled to feel good about themselves. What happened to you to make you feel this way about yourself? Was it something in your childhood? Did you feel you could never please any of your family members? A lack of confidence in yourself can go as far back as to a single moment in childhood that the subconscious has held on to. Clinical hypnotherapy can ‘unblock’ this memory and restore your self-esteem.
Is there someone in your life NOW that takes away your belief in yourself or your capability to do things? Do you feel able to trust your own judgment or do you feel no matter how hard you try you will never succeed in some people’s eyes? This can only cause great unhappiness. I say unhappiness because no one can be happy when they doubt themselves. This type of issue affects the whole family and can even pass onto children. It’s hard trying to instil confidence in your children when you have none yourself.
Can anyone help you overcome this awful feeling of self-doubt, this feeling that prevents you from being the real you? The fantastic news is YES! A clinical hypnotherapist can help you.
- Do you need to be concerned that clinical hypnotherapy may be dangerous? No - it is perfectly safe.
- Can you slip back into hypnotherapy? No, you can’t.
- Can a clinical hypnotherapist make you do something you don’t want to do? Not at all. You can hear every word the therapist says to you and you can end the session at any time.
All clinical hypnotherapy sessions are in complete confidence.
So what happens in a clinical hypnotherapy session for restoring self-confidence? Well, to begin with, your chosen therapist will discuss your problem in depth with you and ascertain when it first began; we aren’t born without confidence in ourselves. Look at the happiness in a toddler’s face when he/she realises they’ve taken their first steps. The chances are the happy parents clap and smile and encourage the toddler, embodying belief in himself. By talking to you, the therapist and yourself can work out what happened in your life, be it in childhood or events throughout your life, or present day issues. Clinical hypnotherapy will safely take you back to the events and, painlessly and without you feeling any emotion, deal with the issue(s). Present day causes of this situation can often be helped by giving you the strength, confidence and sense of purpose to handle and deal with everything.
In your hypnotherapy session you will feel totally calm and relaxed, almost like drifting in and out of a wonderful sleep. You can hear every word your therapist says to you and wake up from it at any time. The therapist speaks calmly to your subconscious to help you overcome the problems locked in your subconscious.
Can everybody be hypnotised? Well of course there is always the exception to the rule, but the majority of people can. There are different methods of hypnotisation the therapist can use; one of them is sure to work.
So what should you do to overcome your problem? Find a local clinical hypnotherapist you feel comfortable talking to and let them help you. What do you have to lose? Nothing but the worry that is holding you back from becoming the real you.
Please be aware that treating someone in such a way as to remove their self-confidence is bullying.
