How can hypnosis help increase your self-esteem?
If you are one of the millions of people all over the world who suffer from low self-esteem, chances are you are not living up to your true potential. This is likely because you end up settling for things instead of thriving from what you truly deserve. Unfortunately, low self-esteem is not an easy thing to treat, and people end up going from treatment to treatment hoping to find one that just might work.
There are far too many so-called 'experts' making a wide range of claims to know which one will actually work for you. It seems that many of them are simply out to make money and do not really have anything of substance that would help anyone with a self-esteem issue. Issues with low self-esteem can be quite detrimental to your emotional well-being and it can also be a problem in your professional life as well.
10 common signs of low self-esteem:
- Withdraws from social interactions.
- Heightened anxiety and emotional distress.
- Diminished social skills and bouts of overwhelming sadness.
- Exhibiting eating disorders.
- Having a hard time accepting compliments.
- Paying more attention to negatives.
- Inability to be fair to yourself.
- Treating yourself poorly while treating others much better.
- Frequently backs away from challenges.
What causes low self-esteem?
According to the mental health experts, there are many different reasons why people are frequently bothered by low esteem. For adults, a feeling of inadequacy, feeling stupid, being bullied (even for adults) or some type of traumatic experiences can leave a person with some degree of low self-esteem. Many adults who are dealing with bouts of low self-esteem can often trace the root cause to possible abuse when they were growing up, and were not able to get any type of help, which resulted in it manifesting itself as negative feelings later in life.
Society can also play a big role in a person's negative esteem and it can easily be compounded by the media as well. This is often because we incorrectly fixate on poor role models whose poor behaviour can frequently drag our own opinions of ourselves down.
How can hypnosis be used to improve low self-esteem
Many other treatments often fail to resolve the underlying causes of low self-esteem and therefore, more often than not, fail. However, there is one kind of unorthodox method that has proven to be much more effective in treating low self-esteem and it is called hypnosis or hypnotherapy. The main reason hypnosis is so effective is that low self-esteem is caused by strong negative feelings in the subconscious mind.
Since hypnosis and hypnotherapy each deal directly with the subconscious mind, it stands to reason that it should be the most effective way to improve low self-esteem and low self-confidence. In order to affect true change, you need to get to the root cause; and in the case of low self-esteem, it is, in fact, found deep inside the subconscious mind. So that is why, if you are having issues with low self-esteem, you should seek out the help of a reputable hypnotist or a hypnotherapist.
