About the course

Do you sometimes find that your clients aren’t moving forward as quickly as you expect?

Many people don’t eat enough of the right foods to support health and brain function. Often clients are doing the best that they can with what they have. Many are tired and stressed and eat what is convenient and affordable. This can include highly processed foods that are low in nutrients and can play havoc on their reward system, making it very hard to meet their nutritional needs to feel good.

Sometimes a few shared wisdoms that encourage a change in their diet can be the difference that makes the difference.

Objectives

To help the learner to understand the impact that nutrition has on the brain’s ability to function. The food we eat has a direct impact on how we feel and what we can and can not do.

We will look at the importance of maintaining a healthy diet and what this means. The impact of blood glucose on nutrient transport and how to maintain and support a healthy metabolism. When the brain is nourished and its needs are met it is able to optimise its function.

We will cover the main food groups exploring the connection between carbohydrates and serotonin, the importance of fats for nutrient absorption and more.
