In the therapeutic profession, one of our greatest assets is the empathy and compassion which we can offer to our clients. However, empathy can also be our greatest weakness, continuing to give and give to those in need until we have nothing left to give, eventually reaching a place of burnout.

Despite our training or experience, those of us in the therapeutic profession are not immune from the impact of trauma or the struggles of everyday life stress. On top of the often tough client stories we encounter, it can leave us feeling drained, depressed and doubting our place in this important profession.

When we shine the same light on our clients, how often do we miss burnout? How often do we encounter depression or anxiety that’s wrapped up with a lack of self-care? Burnout and self-care is often an unrepresented topic in our profession but one that’s so essential to maintain an awareness of.

This one-day workshop will focus on all these important themes and is open to anyone in the therapeutic profession, including those who volunteer for helping charities.

Cost: £10 early bird discount until 31st July when quoting promo code BSC21.

When: Online via Zoom on 9th October 2021 from 10 am to 4 pm.
