A morning of Qigong and somatic meditation to resource and to connect to our true nature and foster a natural integration of mind, body and heart.

Through sitting, standing and mindful movements, we learn how to align the body to promote a relaxed alert state, regulate and calm the mind, meet and let go of blockages to presence and connect with emptiness.

When we reach a ‘Qi state’ we are fully present, connected and receptive to our spiritual potential. We take this into our sitting meditation to deepen our awareness of our true nature.

These workshops are intended to give us more time to explore the principles of Qigong, and stay (or 'marinate') with the Qi so that its benefit may affect us more deeply. We will explore some somatic meditation as well, an embodied way of meditating, which goes deep very quickly but doesn't require prior meditation experience.

Each session includes:

  • gentle warm-up exercises
  • Qigong exercises: very simple movements (no complicated sequence!)
  • led somatic meditation: standing, sitting or lying down
  • led somatic exercises to access non-dual realisation
  • a break and a chance to share or ask questions

Key benefits of the monthly class:

  • Learn simple Qigong movements that bring peace and clarity to mind and heart.
  • Connect to Qi energy for health and well being.
  • Opportunity to de-stress, pause and listen deeply.
  • Discover somatic meditations that bring a deeper spiritual connection and integration.
  • Open to your true open nature through the body and learn to remain in connection.

Tickets are £18 (standard) or concessionary rates of £12 (low income) and £6 (no income) are available.

Hosted by Stephanie Betschart

Hi, I'm stephanie, or "Padmadrishti" my Buddhist name. I have been practicing meditation since the 90's and teaching it since the noughties. I have discovered that the body is the place that holds our wisdom and resilience. many meditation teachings are very cerebral, my approach is embodied and real.
