Creating a successful counselling and hypnotherapy practice
We are pleased to announce the return of our exciting one-day online CPD workshop on Setting up a Successful Counselling and Psychotherapy Private Practice. The workshop will take place online via Zoom on Saturday 25th September 2021 and is open to all trainee and fully qualified therapists from any modality.

In our next workshop on 25th September, we plan to cover all the basics of setting up in private practice, giving you the ability to create and run a successful counselling and psychotherapy practice.
The main themes covered include:
- coming up with a practice name/identity
- where to see clients
- working during Covid-19
- setting up websites and picking domain names
- exploring and choosing from the different therapy directories out there
- introduction to advertising and social media
- initial contact with clients
- client assessments, contracts and paperwork (to send to the client).
- boundaries and clients you don’t want to work with
- GDPR
- therapeutic will/professional executor
- what to charge and how to pay
- working with Insurance companies
- keeping accounts and tax
- self-protection
We will also aim to cover any areas of particular interest to the group on the day. If you're interested in starting out in your own private therapy practice, then this course is essential for you. We will be following this workshop up on 23rd October with another one day course on Advance Skills in Growing Your Private Practice. This will focus on the likes of advanced marketing and advertising skills, helping you to keep your own accounts and making more of your private practice.
