Profile

I offer safe, effective and confidential help with a range of problems including: depression; anxiety, including social and performance anxiety; phobias; addictions; recovery from trauma; stress and anger management; and difficulties with low self confidence; low self esteem; weight loss; cigarettes and alcohol.

People have an inbuilt capacity to recover and find ways to move beyond even the most difficult circumstances and feelings.

Hypnosis creates a state of highly focused relaxation that enhances this process.

I believe that hypnotherapy can be a highly effective route towards a happier, healthier way of life.

I offer a free, no-obligation consultation for prospective new clients.

I currently have daytime vacancies in Harrogate on Mondays, Tuesdays & Wednesdays.

I also provide free self-hypnosis CDs and other materials where appropriate as part of a course of hypnotherapy

Further Information

I find hypnotherapy highly effective in enhancing relaxation, helping people to reduce anxiety and stress and increase self-esteem and motivation. It can also be very helpful in accessing people’s creativity in looking for new solutions to problems and in by-passing self-criticism and self-sabotage in the process of therapy.

Hypnotherapy for a specific problem generally only takes a few sessions (I should be able to give you some idea of how many after our initial consultation).

However, if people have suffered serious or ongoing neglect, separation or abuse as children; or long term abuse, multiple traumas or bereavements at any stage of their lives, they may find that longer term therapy is helpful for them.

In addition to my hypnotherapy training, I also have extensive training and experience in psychotherapeutic counselling with people who have suffered these kinds of problems. Further details are on my page on counselling-directory.
