Chris is a Scotsman who throughout own his life and career experiences has gained many insights into the human mind. After spending 28 years in the Financial Services where he ran a very successful firm, the time had now come when he wanted to use the analytical and problem solving skills he had learned over decades in a more fulfilling way.
His initial interest in psychology was triggered at an early age whilst studying behavioural sciences at the age of 20. He later built on this as he embarked on an Open University OU course studying towards a B.A. Social Sciences whilst working in the Civil Service. With a young family to support, his career took him into the world of Financial Services where he flourished in helping people not only with their financial problems but also in how they could deal with stresses that so often accompanied their problems.
Training, Qualifications & Experience
Chris obtained his Diploma (DHP) and the Advanced Diploma in Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy (DCHP) through the Scotttish Institute of Clinical Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy. He is a licensed Practitioner of the Hypno-Band Weight Loss System, which was incidentally created by a fellow Scotsman, John MacLean. His training in Hypnotherapy/Psychotherapy including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy techniques in order to help those with problems such as anxiety, phobias, fears etc. He continues to study new methods and is constantly updating his knowledge and skills. He has also gained Certification in Past Life Therapy and completed training in the use of Emotional Freedom Therapy EFT (sometimes referred to as Taps or Tapping)

Chris is a member of the General Hypnotherapy Register GHR the UK's largest register of Hypnotherapists and is also a post graduate member of the SICHP. He is fully insured for Professional & Public Indemnity and conforms to a "Code of Ethics" as prescribed by the GHR.
