The approaches that I use are compassionate, thoughtful and engaged. I am qualified in Counselling, Psychotherapy and Hypnotherapy to a Masters Degree Level. I have a wide range of applicable theory, practice and apply an integration of therapeutic approaches. I am a member of the BACP also, as well as NRHP (a UKCP accredited organisation).
I have practiced for 4 years and also am committed to giving people a space to explore and inspire change. I am committed to my voluntary work and the charity and public sector. In these difficult times, I keep my overheads minimum by working from my own premise. This ensures I can offer you a good deal for therapeutic work, especially in these difficult financial times, keeping prices and costs low, fair and ethical.
Among others I specialize in working with issues:
* Anxiety - benefits of integrating hypnosis with psychotherapy, guided imagery, relaxation, mindfulness.
* Alcohol/ Drug abuse - I work with rational recovery ethos, a unique alternative to addictions
* Depression - Using a variety of techniques and schools of therapy, the additional hypnosis work combined with CBT for example, is now a feature of much academic research.
* Exam Nerves - I offer students discounts for such sessions to assist them work with their nerves
* IBS - I gained a certificate from the NHS for working specifically with IBS and anxiety related illnesses.

Training, qualifications & experience
I have a Hypno-Psychotherapy Diploma with Distinction, awarded by The National College of Hypnosis and Psychotherapy, (NRHP) which is recognised as one of the leading postgraduate training colleges in Europe. It is one of the only colleges to offer accredited hypnotherapy training by the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP). I am fully insured and work closely with a supervisor who is a UKCP accredited supervisor and trainer.
I have a Masters Degree in Integrative Counselling (Psychotherapy) (University of Manchester). I have a wide range of experiences with a range of clinical, charity sector and private clients. I am a MBACP (Member British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy) also.
My employment background is in the charity and public sector in advocacy, equal opprtunities, disabilities and advice. I enjoy working with a range of clients and have enjoyed many my roles in advocacy and strive for personal development.
I studied my Psychology Degree at the University of Manchester and have a Post Graduate Diploma in Creative Writing.

Costs I have a variety of payment options, though my usual fee is £45 for 70 minutes of combined counselling, psychotherapy and hypnotherapy. I also can do shorter sessions.
A discussion of *up to 25% reduction can be made for people with long-term and complex issues requiring more sessions. I also make reductions for students and people receiving DLA, Job Seekers or are unemployed or on wages under £14,000 per annum before tax.
I offer MP3 recording (disk or fileshare) of all hypnotherapy sessions for your future use. Room. I have a comfortable therapy room for clients that is light and quiet, though can secure a larger room if necessary under special circumstances. There are dogs in my flat just in case you have allergies.
I am in a very central, near the bus stations, Piccadilly Station, Oxford Road Station, (near UMIST) off Sackville Street.
