I have been in practice as a Psychotherapist and Counsellor in Sussex since 1984. I trained for 5 years with the London Institute of Psychosynthesis, receiving diplomas in Counselling and Psychotherapy. I have supervised and trained Counsellors in the Sussex and West Yorkshire areas for many years.
In 2008/9 I took extra training in Hypnotherapy and NLP as an additional tool to enhance my work. I use Hypnotherapy in conjunction with my Psychotherapy and Counselling work. I also offer Hypnotherapy only approaches to help people to stop smoking and drinking. For weight loss I use a combination of Psychotherapy and Hypnotherapy.
In my 25 years of practice I have worked with a wide variety of clients with a very wide range of problems. I continue to work with whatever issues my clients bring to me but during this time I have also developed a speciality in working with people suffering from OCD (see my article) and also people suffering from Cancer (see my article on Psycho-Neuro-Immunology).
My core belief is that each person who chooses to have therapy is a unique individual with a unique problem. Having a wide variety of techniques enables me to find a unique way to work with each individual.
Above all, a successful therapy is not just about getting rid of the symptoms that caused a person to seek help, it is also about growing and moving forward in life with increased confidence and self esteem.
I work with both short term (6 session) contracts and long term contracts (work until the problem is dealt with).
I am UKCP Registered, fully insured, and work within UKCP ethical guidelines.

Hypnotherapy £65 for 60-90 min session
Combination of above £50 per 1 hr session
£65 per 90 min session for couple therapy
Smoking/Drinking cessation £120 for 2 sessions
Weight Loss - combination Hypnotherapy & Psychotherapy £50 per 1 hr session
Further Information
I have pleasant premises near the centre of Worthing, close to main bus routes and Worthing train station. There is plenty of free on-street parking.
We also have wheelchair access.
