About me
I can help you to quit smoking, or overcome stress, anxiety, fears, phobias and other problems. I have been a consultant hypnotherapist in Egham, Surrey, since 1990 helping people to overcome a variety of emotional, psychological and habit problems. I also work with children, helping with problems such as bed-wetting, anxieties and phobias, eating or sleeping problems. I am now a Certified Hypnotic Fertility Practitioner.
Training, qualifications & experience
After training with the International Association of Hypno-Analysts, I went on to train in Person-Centred Counselling, Primary Cause Analysis, Neuro-Linguistic Programming and EFT.
My qualifications include a Hypnotherapy Practitioner Diploma, a Diploma in Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy, a BAC recognised Certificate in Counselling Skills, a Diploma in Primary Cause Analysis, and a Master Practitioner Certificate in NLP. Certified Hypnotic Fertility Practitioner.
I am registered as an Accredited Member of The National Council For Hypnotherapy, The National Register of Practitioners in Smoking Cessation, and The National Council of Psychotherapists. I am a member of the new CNHC - The Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council Register now recocnised by the government and the NHS. I am also a qualified supervisor of hypnotherapists and psychotherapists.

The National Council for Hypnotherapy holds one of the largest registers of independent Hypnotherapists in the United Kingdom and strives to maintain the highest standards among its members.
There is an agreed Code of Conduct, an established Complaints & Disciplinary Procedure and all members are obliged to maintain comprehensive Public Liability & Professional Indemnity Insurance, maintain regular CPD (continuing professional development) hours, and attend Supervision when needed.

My first contact with hypnotherapy was as a client in the 1980's. I was so impressed by the effectiveness of hypnotherapy, and the changes it helped me to make in myself and my life, that I decided to train as a hypnotherapist myself.
I was ready to begin practice in 1990, and have never looked back! I regularly attend more courses to learn new skills, and to keep up to date. Recently I attended a course in hypnotherapy with children, and before that courses in working with IBS and Tinnitus. There is always something new to learn, even where I have some experience in helping with an issue.
Hypnotherapy is for me a really rewarding profession. I get a huge satisfaction when I hear from my clients who have made that successful presentation, flown without anxiety, achieved their desired weight, permanently stopped smoking. Every client brings a new interesting challenge - recently a lady who couldn't eat after her stomach had been removed for cancer, who a week later phoned to say she had put on three pounds; and a man terrified of all hospital procedures who managed a CT scan, chemotherapy and radiotherapy after a couple of sessions. I now have photographs of babies I "helped" into the world through hypnosis for fertility.
