About me

Consultations take place in quiet and comfortable offices in the centre of Lancaster, easily accessible and with free parking. Both daytime and evening appointments are available and Saturday morning appointments can also be arranged.

Coaching and hypnotherapy sessions can also be held at your home or workplace if an appropriate space is available.

In addition to his hypnotherapeutic work Bob is also a qualifed person centred counsellor and a member of the BACP and works in accordance with their ethical guidelines.

Training, qualifications & experience

Bob is a well qualified practitioner with a breadth of therapeutic and life experience who has been using therapeutic and coaching approaches for the last thirty years in a variety of professional settings. He is a graduate teacher and has also practiced as a social worker working with children and families and in psychiatric settings.

Bob works with both individuals and couples and is pragmatic about his approach to his work. “When people come to see me they are usually feeling quite ‘stuck’. They’ve often tried unsuccessfully a variety of approaches to get some movement in their lives and what they are looking for now is the quickest and most effective way to change the way they feel or behave. I don’t think it really matters to them how we achieve this, just so long as we do, but for many issues a hypnotherapeutic approach can bring about change much more quickly than many people might imagine”.

Bob is particularly experienced in working with people experiencing workplace bullying and harrassment, the effects of which he believes are significantly underestimated.
