Profile

I left the NHS in 1999 and divided my time between teaching counselling skills and theory for a local college and building my own private practice. I also ran courses in Stress Management and occassionally taught psychology.

I made my first serious study of hypnosis as far back as 1978, and my interest has continued and developed over the years since. Having successfully incorporated hypnotic techniques into my stress management program I also began using Hypnotherapy and Neuro Linguistic Programing(NLP) to enhance my counselling practice, this proved to be so effective that my main discipline is now hypnotherapy.

I have completed training programs in various schools of Hypnotherapy, Hypnoanalysis, Medical Hypnosis and NLP, this enables me to offer a range of or programs tailored to meet individual need. As of 2007 I am also certified as a Clinical Hypnotherapist by the International Certification Board of Clinical Hypnotherapy (ICBCH). I have also completed advanced hypnosis training and certification in 5-PATH® Hypnotherapy. My training as a therapist is broadbased (listed here) however it is over ten years of experience in practice that allows me to offer effective Hypnotherapy. I hold the industry based award "Senior Qualification in Hypnotherapy Practice" (SQHP). Accredited by the National Regulatory Register for Hypnotherapy (NRH)

I abide by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council code of conduct and ethics, I am fully insured and have been in private practice for over ten years.

Based upon the premise that I will do nothing that is not in the best interest of my client.
The relationship is for the benefit of my client, and the emotional wellbeing of the client will be my paramount concern.
The number of sessions will be kept to the minimum required to achieve the aims of my client.
