I am an accredited EMDR Practitioner and clinical hypnotherapist, graduated from the Manchester College of Clinical Hypnotherapy (MCCH), UK, with a Postgraduate Diploma of Clinical Hypnotherapy and Life Coaching and a practitioner of Ericksonian Hypnosis and hypnotic metaphors, attained from the Hypnosis Training Academy, USA.
I take a gentle and effective approach in my hypnotherapy sessions, bringing you on wonderful journeys, stories, and explorations in your subconscious. I use a combination of direct and indirect hypnotherapy coupled with EMDR to tailor each session to your needs, ensuring safety and long-lasting change.
Before pursuing hypnotherapy, I have been trained in Classical Piano for over 20 years. I understand how exam anxiety and performance nerves can be crippling to the performer. Thus I specialize in hypnotherapy that relieves the destructive fear and worry one has during an exam, performance, or competition, and instilling in them the right amount of vital tension needed to achieve the best results possible.

In order to achieve fast and long lasting change, my sessions are a team effort from both the client and myself. I work with a variety of techniques, incorporating Eye Movement Desensitsation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Classical Hypnosis and Ericksonian Hypnotherapy.
Clients also have the option of keeping the issue to themselves. In such cases, as long as the client is willing to work on the issue, they will still feel a positive change after the first session. Of course, the session will be more effective if I have more information about the issue so I can tailor the session to your needs.

I saw Wayne a few days before my upcoming piano recital for my performance anxiety. At first I was very worried about what hypnotherapy and EMDR is and what it will do to me, but Wayne was very patient and detailed in explaining to me how natural it is for humans to go into trances everyday, such as the last 5 minutes before falling asleep.
Before starting the hypnotherapy, Wayne used EMDR to clear out a lot of my negative feelings and negative thoughts such as “What if something bad happens while I’m performing?” or “What if the audience hates my music?”. I did not expect it to be that effective, because now when I try to recall those thoughts, the painful feeling I have in my stomach and upper arms have disappeared, and those thoughts are just mere words now. During the hypnotherapy, Wayne had asked my subconscious mind to give me a gift and a seed appeared. Finding the seed was extremely helpful for me as a lot of my instability stems from the feeling of not being grounded, but my mind being everywhere at once. I have noticed that a lot of the positive effects are in the subconscious, and that I generally feel good for most part of the day despite being prone to mood swings. And it is very rare for me to feel consistently good for more than 1 day in a row. And I get this sense that this feeling is not a one-off thing but is now a set base that will stay.
Before the concert itself, I felt much better than previous concerts. Though I could still hear the audience’s breathing and coughing and was slightly distracted, I was not affected by the negative thoughts and feelings from myself and the audience, or a sense of panic, which I usually will feel. However, I felt the biggest mind change is after the performance. I am usually extremely negative after my performance as I am kind of a perfectionist in terms of making music. So I rarely feel good after a concert. But this time, even if it wasn’t perfect, I actually felt quite positive afterward. I also accepted what went wrong in the performance with a clear mind and am looking forward to work on it the next time.
Even after talking to Wayne in the first 15 minutes, I have a much better understanding of how my mind works. The EMDR and hypnotherapy session really pulled it all together and instilled in me the sense of confidence, calmness, security, positivity, and focus that I needed. I would highly recommend Wayne to those suffering from performance anxiety and negativity.

A few months ago, a month before I had my piano exam, I sustained a soft tissue injury to my left wrist and hand. I had reduced movement and resistance in my hand, and the pain was stopping me from certain movements needed in playing some of the pieces from my repertoire. The doctor recommended to stop playing for about 10 days and then slowly start again step by step, and also gave me a brace for my wrist and hand. Because I didn’t want to lose time and days of practice for my exam, Wayne suggested a hypnotherapy session with him to help me reduce the pain and make my injury heal faster.
?At the start, he talked me through how to visualise my pain, give it a shape and colour, and how to deal with it in smaller quantities. By relaxing and taking the pressure off mentally, this actually reduced the level of pain and discomfort in my hand considerably. I’ve tried this again later on, and this exercise has helped me with performance anxiety and nerves as well. I have also seen others react positively to this is a hypnotherapy workshop with Wayne I attended during health week at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
The pain went down and after a few days I gained back some of my wrist mobility. It still took some time until my hand could move again like it did before my injury and I’m slowly building back my practice time resistance, but it definitely felt better after my session with Wayne. I would also recommend it to anyone who struggles with nerves and performance anxiety!
In my recent hypnotherapy session with Wayne, we focused on my Impostor syndrome. I have previously suffered from depression and anxiety and had been on a course of medication and received various types of counseling sessions through my GP which were all very invaluable tools for my recovery. However, I have found that my one hypnotherapy session from Wayne has been particularly effective. He was an effective listener and gave me helpful advice throughout this part and suggested various tasks I could easily do to reinforce more positivity and confidence in myself.
?The hypnotherapy itself was a very powerful visualization on my efforts throughout my life. I found this journey very moving as it helped me recognize how my daily efforts work to fight my poor mental health and achieve all the good things that I have today!
?Since then, it has had very positive effects on my well-being. Thanks to Wayne, I am more confident in myself and can better recognize when some of my negative thoughts are unnecessary to my achievements and good fortune by thinking back to some of the activities we did in our sessions.
Wayne made me feel very comfortable from the start and he always respected my emotional and physical space, giving me time to express myself or understand what I was experiencing.
Wayne was extremely lovely to work with. I feel that I can trust Wayne and share painful and vulnerable experiences without judgement, and it is assuring to know that I can contact Wayne whenever I need some follow-up sessions or advice.
I left every of Wayne’s sessions feeling refreshed, soothed, more positive and with a clearer understanding of what would come next. Most importantly, I felt that Wayne’s sessions give me a sense of empowerment. I was rather skeptical about trying hypnotherapy, but it is for this reason that I will urge everyone who is keen on understanding more about oneself to do so.
I felt Wayne really listened to my issue and put me at ease. He was able to take me deep into hypnosis so that I could relax completely and then using words that really resonated with me, he was able to help me connect with my inner child. I found the session extremely effective for boosting my confidence and would highly recommend.

Wayne has guided me through a couple of hypnotherapy sessions. He is a naturally talented hypnotherapist who has helped me to reach the deepest places of one's thinking. I study piano performance at RCS and one month ago I have injured my hands from playing. I have tried treatments like resting, pain killing lotions, magnesium baths, however I could not feel the improvement while practicing piano. So while I was running out of healing options, I decided to try hypnotherapy.
Personally, I had doubts about hypnosis as I believed it might have a negative impact on my psychological well-being. Knowing my insecurities about hypnotherapy, Wayne had explained and answered all my questions related to it. During the hypnotherapy I realized how mental health is related to our physical bodies and through hypnotherapy, Wayne taught me effective ways to connect and to listen to my body. Moreover, the fatigue in my hands reduced and I have been successfully recovering from my injury. Since I felt an improvement in my hands, positivity and relaxation after the sessions, I would warmly recommend Wayne as a hypnotherapist.
