I am a fully qualified hypnotherapist and advanced counsellor/psychotherapist accredited by the Hypnotherapy Society and national counselling society. These Professional Societies insure that I am fully Qualified and keep up with my Continued Professional Development obligations. I am also fully insured.
I have always had a profound interest in the working of the sub conscious mind and what drives us so I am passionate about the power of hypnotherapy, On a personal level I have had hypnotherapy myself to assist me in my studies, and for my anxieties, therefore I learnt to do self hypnosis. I use self hypnosis to help me relax, I have calmed the condition 'shingles' and rapidly self healed a shoulder and arm injury.
Exploring our difficulties through the power of the sub conscious can be a liberating journey helping us to manage our lives more positively and effectively, creating change at conscious and sub conscious levels.
I am also an Anxiety UK approved therapist providing therapeutic support to the charity’s members and partner beneficiaries. I am subject to Anxiety UK’s regular monitoring of my professional qualifications, supervision, continual professional development, insurance and professional body membership in addition to complying with the ethical framework and professional standards set down by my registered governing body.
Full details of the Anxiety UK approved therapist scheme can be found here - www.anxietyuk.org.uk/getinvolved/therapists-at-anxiety-uk Details about becoming a member of Anxiety UK to be able to access therapy via the charity can be found here www.anxietyuk.org.uk/membership
Anxiety sufferers usually respond really well to Hypnotherapy, with clients usually noticing a marked difference after just one session. People with anxious worrying thoughts generally find it hard to relax and sleep so Hypnotherapy can calm the mind and body enabling symptoms to become more manageable whilst exploring the deeper concerns.
I offer a confidential, non-judgmental safe place to talk through and explore any worries or concerns you may be having . I have a quiet, calming therapy room in Horsham with parking nearby.
Evening appointments are available as well as telephone/skype and email counselling.

Hypnosis can be briefly described as an altered state of consciousness. It explores the mind and its role in diseases. Hypnosis is a therapeutic tool that has helped people overcome a range of conditions ie addictions, phobias, stress. In essence its the communication of thoughts, feelings and opinions focusing attention on ones own inner experiences and feelings, reaching below the level of consciousness.
Hypnosis is a state of abstraction from the outside world and absorption in our own thoughts and images i.e. daydreaming. E.g. driving, have you driven from A-B without knowing how you got there because you have been engrossed in your own thoughts. This automatic activity is a hypnotic state'. We drift many times a day however we specifically have two moments and that is just before we fall asleep and just before we wake up. These times you occasionally jump or your arms and legs jolt, you are not awake or asleep, this is a good time to ask your subconscious to help you with any concerns you may have,.
