Further Information

I have trained in a number of fields which enables me to tailor-make the appropriate therapy for the individual respecting that everyone has a unique psychological and physiological make-up. I am dedicated to the development of holistic health care and empowering others with the attitude and the tools with which they can take full responsibility for their health and well-being.

The philosophy I am guided by in my approach to therapy can be summed up by a quote from Abraham Maslow, "If the only tool you have is a hammer, you'll see every problem as a nail".

For example, when the only "tool" I had was hypnotherapy/psychotherapy panic attacks would often take eight to ten weeks to get under control. Now I use kinesiology to test the client for any physiological contributing factors with what many of my clients call an "MOT' (testing through organs, glands, vitamins and minerals, etc). I have tested probably thousands of people with panic attacks over the last twenty one years and every single one testing positive for depleted adrenals. Because the cause of adrenal depletion is usually stress, I still use hypnotherapy to reduce stress levels but will also prescribe something to bring the adrenals back into balance. Now panic attacks can be brought under control within a month.

So my initial consultation will usually start with an MOT and continue with whatever is appropriate for the individual client. Another example might be if a client wanted help to lose weight. An MOT may show up thyroid problems which would make the metabolism slow or low blood sugar which would cause sugar cravings. Obviously these would need to be addressed as well as the hypnotherapy to increase motivation in sticking to a healthy eating plan.

My consulting room in Kingsbridge is in my home, making it a quiet, cosy and comfortable place for clients to come.

I also hold regular clinics in Buckinghamshire and London. I only work as a Kinesiologist and Clinical Nutritionist in these clinics. Check my website for details/dates of these. www.svaughan.co.uk
