About me

My interest in Hypnotherapy and other alternative therapies such as N.L.P. (neuro linguistic programming), Life Coaching, Reiki and Crystals began many years ago when I developed a condition called Dystonia Spasmodic Torticollis. In simple terms, the brain sends a continual message to a couple of muscle groups in my neck instructing them to turn right. As a PA at the time, I found it was becoming very uncomfortable and painful to sit at a computer all day, and eventually resigned.  It was a tough time for me to find myself, normally a very positive person, experiencing a multitude of emotions, mainly negative and I suffered with stress symptoms.  I gradually built up strategies and techniques to deal with this condition and treatment works well at keeping this condition at a comfortable level now, but relaxation is very important too.  As I had given up smoking with the help of Hypnotherapy, I wondered if it would help with relaxation and pain relief – it did! That was the turning point in my life and I retrained as a Clinical  Hypnotherapist, Life Coach and Reiki Practitioner.

I gained the prestigious Hypnotherapy Practitioners Diploma (HPD), accredited by the National Hypnotherapy Council, and gained additional qualifications in N.L.P. and Stress Management, and since then have done further CPD (Continual Professional Development) training courses in other areas such as EMDR, Life Coaching, Time-line therapy, Reiki and Crystal healing.

I find my job very satisfying, to be able to help others in achieving their goals and gaining a new zest for life all helps me to feel very positive about my future too.

I feel very passionately that we can all help ourselves quite easily, by taking time to stop and listen to what is going on in our mind and body, and also taking control of our thoughts with the help of alternative therapies. After all, 'you are what you think', so if you think positively about yourself and the things and people around you it stands to reason that you will feel positive. On the flip side, if you think negatively then the reverse will happen and unhelpful patterns will surface in our behaviour. Sometimes it just takes a little help to achieve positive goals, and that’s where I come in!

Please contact me for a free, no obligation consultation to discuss your particular concern. The list is endless but just a few of the areas that can easily and effectively be treated are: weight loss, smoking, sports performance, low self-esteem, low self-confidence, IBS, exam nerves, public speaking, phobias, anxiety, natural childbirth and so much more.. I can also help you to work through past traumas and stresses, which will enable you to move forward in to a bright new future.

Additional information

It is important for you to know how I can help you before you decide to go ahead, and I therefore offer a free initial consultation, where I allow time to go into the first session there and then. However, there is no obligation for you to proceed with treatment. Over 15 minutes or so, we can talk about what you are seeking help with and how hypnotherapy, NLP and the other therapies I offer would be able to help. Most of all, it gives you an opportunity to meet with me and decide whether I am the right person for you. I always allow time after the consultation to go into a first session if you wish to proceed. However, as stated above there is no obligation to do this if you do not wish.

Sessions are approximately 60 minutes and usually a week apart. The number of sessions required can vary according to each individual and what we are working to achieve, but in most cases a course of three sessions is all that is necessary. The first three sessions are charged at £195 payable at the first meeting, which includes a discount of £15, as a normal one off session costs £70. Visit my website for full list of therapies used, treatments and fees.
