Training, qualifications & experience
I have trained with the Omni Hypnosis center, Roy Hunter and with Wilf Proudfoot. These teachers and schools have given me a wide spectrum of understanding and a variety of approaches to resolving issues and problems. I have recently studied with InnerVisions school of hypnotherapy where I have learned about recent developments within the hypnotherapy profession.
From a background of working with individuals with mental health and learning difficulties, and from my own personal issues I sought resolutions to, I have developed a keen interest in finding more effective ways of helping people to overcome their problems in a meaningful and lasting way.
As a fundamental goal I want clients to leave my office with a fresh outlook free from the burden of the past so they can more readily embrace a new and brighter future.

Do you suffer from FEARS OR PHOBIAS?

It is said that we are born with two instinctive fears, fear of heights to protect us from injury and a fear of strange noises to protect us from predatory animals, all other fears are in some way social and these two can be highly exaggerated causing unnecessary stress.
Something cannot come from nothing and so if you can learn a way of responding to situations negatively you can also unlearn it and form a positive or neutral response to the cause of your current fear.
Phobias are intense fears that have little or no relation to the object that you are afraid of. Sometimes it may be reasonable to retain a healthy respect for the object of concern though. A phobia of dogs that is irrational and over the top is disruptive and could negatively affect every area of your life. However it is natural to have some caution because dogs can and do occasionally bite. But there is a huge difference between the two ways of responding to seeing or thinking about dogs.
You are not alone with your fears, many people share with you intense fears and phobias and you are not strange or inadequate. Most people do not talk about their fears to other people and so you can often feel alone and confused wondering why you just can't get over it.
It takes a lot of courage to finally decide to confront your problems and I sincerely hope you choose to work with me using hypnotherapy as an effective tool of change.
