Solutions Focused Hypnotherapy is such a powerful way to help people to overcome many issues and get the best out of life. It has given me a greater understanding of my brain and the impact my thoughts have on my wellbeing – resulting in me feeling extremely positive about life. I am really motivated to help other people to feel the same!
You may feel 'stuck' with a behaviour that you don't like or that affects you day-to-day life. Stress, anxiety or insomnia may be affecting you. You may think you've been this way for so long that it will be too difficult to change, but being deeply relaxed in trance will help you to be more receptive to new ways of thinking and achieving your goals.
Sessions with me will also help you to understand:
- how your brain reacts,
- why you may feel the way you do
- what you can do about.
All of these things help to promote long-term change.
I work in Torbay and in Hertfordshire too, but location is not an issue as I also successfully deliver online sessions through Zoom and Skype. If you would like to find out more, or arrange a FREE session focused on your particular issue, please call me or email - I'm always pleased to explore whether this is the right therapy for you.
You will leave your first FREE session with some coping strategies and a CD/download to aid your relaxation. If you decide to go ahead (and there is no obligation), I normally see people weekly at first. The number of sessions you will need will be dependent on your issue, but we will discuss this at the first session.
If you're not convinced about online sessions, read what this client had to say:
“I can honestly say that this has changed my life. It’s not that I didn’t enjoy my life before but I did react emotionally to certain things that were not helpful to me. An example would be avoiding a letter about finances and then getting upset when I read it and not being able to deal with the contents. For someone of 49 years old I wanted to change this pattern of behaviour but it wasn’t easy. I just repeated the same old habits with the same emotions. Now I feel so much more in control of life and everyday things so that I’m now much happier, more confident and not so critical of myself. It’s like I’ve been able to finally recognise what I can achieve and master the things I found hard to do. You can’t underestimate how wonderful that feels. Sara made the whole process easy to manage and I am so grateful to her for giving me a new lease of life! I highly recommend this therapy.” Lisa, Cambridge (sessions via Skype).
Throughout my career, my main focus has been ‘helping’ people in some capacity and I have been involved in training, educating, counselling and supporting people for over 20 years.
I have worked on national and regional education projects, helped start-up companies, as well as trained and supported individuals, including young people.
Around 10 years ago, at the same time as running a demanding consultancy business, I became more interested in the impact of stress and stress management – at that time I also trained as a personal development coach and spent some of my working life helping people to focus on achieving their personal and career goals.
In more recent years, I developed my interest in the ‘mind – body’ connection and so have undertaken training in a range of therapies, including psychotherapy and hypnotherapy. I feel so privileged to have ‘found’ solutions focused hypnotherapy and psychotherapy. I love the way it focuses on the future and moving people forward. It is such a rewarding job as you see so much change in your clients.

Another lovely tesimonial from Niki Stafford in Brixham:
I wish I could give 10 stars to Sara at Bay Wellbeing. I have had a crippling fear of flying for as long as I can remember and after an extremely professional and informative consultation, I learnt so much about why I felt the way I did and we continued with some hypnotherapy, which quite frankly has changed my life. Sara could not be more accommodating. I have a very busy and hectic life and she could not have done more to fit appointments in around me to make sure I was ready to fly on an imminent holiday that quite frankly I was dreading purely because of the travelling. You can tell that Sara's main goal is just help you and goes above and beyond to do this. Not only do you get a very professional treatment but also a very warm and friendly one, which for me made all the difference. I have recommended many people to Sara who have already noticed unbelievable positive changes. I never thought I would ever be able to get over some of my phobias, especially flying and I can't thank Sara enough for that. I can't wait to restart our sessions in a few weeks, it really has made such a difference to all areas of my life. I would definitely Bay Wellbeing recommend to everyone in a heartbeat.
I work Monday - Saturday, including some evenings. I try to accommodate my clients' requirements, so don't hesitate to get in touch if you have limited availability.
