I am a former Music Business and Commercial lawyer with considerable Insolvency and financial rescue experience (companies and firms and the people that run them back on their feet ) as well as all the other boring stuff that lawyers do.
In my fifties I suffered a total breakdown (physical, mental and financial) due principally to drink, drugs and their cumulative effects. It was during the recovery from that and being the subject of all the available therapies and facilities which are available that I began to the light. The 12 steps, CBT, psycho-analysis and psycho- therapy all combined to foster a passionate interest in the power of the mind to change behaviour and avert the seemingly inevitable. In the second year of my post graduate degree in psychology I tried Hypnotherapy to finally give up smoking and it worked!! After 50 years of smoking with regrettably few breaks I was free. In one short session the process turned a half hearted, cynical approach into a commitment to quit the weed which has continued to date. I realised then that this was the short cut to success in psychotherapy. Thus on finishing my formal studies and qualifying as a psychologist I trained with the Clifton Practice ( which is definitely the best place in the country ) to become a Clinical Hypnotherapist.
As well as commencing practice and building up a client base I commenced their advanced course ( also degree level ) which includes a module on PNI ( Psycho Nuero-Immunology ) and that's relevant because shortly afterwards I was diagnosed with terminal and inoperable throat cancer. PNI is about the increasingly researched and confirmed link between the will or 'higher order thinking' and the immune system. It is quite possible to visualize the cellular battle that is going on in your body when it is assailed by malevolent infection or cancerous cells and to assist your own forces in their fight, to call up or create re-enforcements. Clearly I put this to the test when I was undergoing the extensive radiotherapy and chemo. I kept all those battleground images to the fore as I self hypnotised. Any surgeon, radiologist or physician will tell you that the subjects attitude and state of mind is at least as important as any strictly medical intervention to the well being and recovery of the patient. I've now passed my 2nd year all clear so again personal experience has confirmed the power of hypnosis and visualization. Mood over matter. I have shared these techniques with other seriously ill patients whose well being ( in all senses ) has been significantly improved.
Positive thought, followed by positive action and positive interaction cannot help but produce positive outcomes. Solution Focused therapy enhanced by trance or hypnosis is probably the best therapeutic tool currently available for restoring balance and effecting change where it's necessary. As a psychologist and member of the clinical division of the British Psychological Society I can also help you with analysis and more traditional therapies in the psycho-analytic or psycho-dynamic mode should you wish to deal with any residual concerns. Usually though, the insight and perspective that Clinical Hypnotherapy provides can equally be applied to all problems and imbalances perceived to be present in the client's life.
The solutions are within the vast intellectual resources of your mind which are accessed via hypnosis. The brain and nervous system have more neurons ( brain cells ) and interconnections possible than there are atoms in the known universe and like the universe more is being discovered every day. I have learned a little about navigating that unique internal universe and together we can find the answers you need.

Nothing is written in stone and I'll try to be helpful in this area and to ensure you get the attention you need on terms which are acceptable and realistic for you. I do take cards if that's easier and we can always amend the terms as we progress.
As stated I have over 30 years of legal experience and can often help where your problem contains a legal perspective. e.g. Whether its access to children of a failed relationship or debt / insolvency issues causing stress and sleepless nights there are often alternative ways of addressing and coping with the problems which may not be immediately apparent . When you relax you are in control and you can see things clearly. When you relax you can do the things you need to do but it is always helpful to know what your realistic options are.
