Are you looking for a way to improve some areas in your life, to move towards the more positive and healthy? Coming to see a hypnotherapist is often the way to achieve this. Your motivation and your expectations are the basic needs for a success.
Hypnotherapy offers greater self-understanding and a sense of achievement. This often gives the feeling of freedom to move on.
Who might benefit?
A person with a problem affecting the body or mind. Age is not a barrier; school age children respond well to hypnothrerapy and if required can be accompanied by the parent in the treatment room.
How it works
In your unconscious minds are all the emotions and beliefs, positive and negative ones, that you have gathered since childhood. Some of these could have been important in the development of a symptom or a problem. In a relaxing and supportive environment your mind has greatly increased suggestibility and it is open to listen and to communicate. These feelings can be located and their effect to you released.
Medicine and Hypnotherapy
It has been scientifically proven that Positive Visualisation can be used to exercise and to strengthen muscles that are weak or difficult to move. For example when recovering after a stroke.
My nursing background helps with other medical applications, including pain management. There is a study showing that pre-surgery hypnosis speeds recovery for breast cancer patients. I would like very much to support anyone dealing with this illness.
This is a term used to describe therapy which uses hypnotherapy techniques when dealing with emotional, psychological or physical problems.
