About me

Hello

If you're here looking for a way to get rid of a problem which has been bothering you then I'm glad to say that you can do it. I have no doubt that you possess the strength, the qualities, the positive attributes which you need in order to achieve your goals.

Perhaps you've been taught to believe that you can't. Perhaps you've come to think that you're unable to change or unworthy of feeling good about yourself. In fact, the very fact you're here proves one of these possibilities to be true. The truth is this: none of my clients needs to see me. If my clients were able to see themselves as I see them then they'd know that they could either resolve their problems by themselves or they wouldn't have this problem to begin with.

I help my clients to deal with emotional issues

For example. Imagine you were a woman whose mother had been an alcoholic. Your mother's inability to demonstrate adequate levels of care and love would leave you thinking that you were somehow lacking some important quality. You'd grow up thinking that you were unworthy of being loved or liked. You'd possibly begin drinking too much to gain confidence in social situations. Perhaps you'd develop a stress related issue such as IBS or bruxism.

Well, if this were true then you'd be wrong about yourself. Your mother's problems would say nothing about you. You might know this, on a cognitive level, but your unconscious mind would still be lumbered with the beliefs of the young girl you were.

If you could see yourself truly you wouldn't believe these things about yourself and you'd not have developed those stress-related problems.

I teach my clients that it's safe to feel emotions. I teach them to regulate those emotions, I help them to let go of those beliefs which hold them back. You could join them. You could learn to see yourself truly and so let go of all the problems which came along because you learned to see yourself through a warped lens.

Anxiety, panic attacks, anger management and a whole lot more can be resolved through hypnotherapy. Give me a call and we'll discuss how I could help you to let go of whatever it is which bothers you.

I help my client to deal with performance issues

Perhaps the above doesn't quite fit you. Perhaps you're here because you are affected by some performance related issue or other. It may be that you have a terrible fear of exams, driving tests, public speaking or suchlike. It may be that you had a run of problems with gaining an erection and it became a self-fulfilling prophecy you just can't shake. Perhaps you're a sportsman or woman and had an accident, or a disaster of another kind, which shook your confidence and knocked your game off from its peak. In any case, hypnotherapy is fantastic at helping people to gain or regain their confidence and to let go of any previous negative experience.

Phobias, eating disorders, weight loss. addictions, unwanted habits and more

I also help people with phobias of any kind. You could be arachnophobic, afraid of flying, an agoraphobe or be afraid of something such as buttons, dentists, ladybirds or clouds. Whatever it is, hypnotherapy could get to the bottom of it and resolve it, once and for all.

Perhaps you need to lose some weight, in which case i could teach you to approach food differently, to let go of any emotional reasons behind your eating habits and to cope with social situations differently.

Perhaps you have a n addiction you'd like to be rid of. I could help you to do that. I could help you to deal with triggers, to be rid of the compulsion, to regulate your emotions without pornography, alcohol, drugs, gambling or whatever it may be.

If stress and anxiety leads you to trichotillomania, dermotillomania, nailbiting or another bad habit then hypnotherapy could help you to deal with it once and forever.

Whatever the problem, hypnotherapy could help you. Please give me a call and we can discuss how I can help.

Training, qualifications & experience

I hold the Advanced Diploma in hypno-psychotherapy from the National College of Hypnosis and Psychotherapy, one of only three organisations accredited by UKCP.

I'm registered with UKCP, meaning that my course of training took four whole years. No other hypnotherapy course is so rigorous.

I am now a qualified Child and Adolescent Counsellor. You can read more on my work with the under 18s by visiting: http://www.resolvedcounsellingforchildren.com

Fees

Additional information

I charge £70 for a single session and £200 for smoking cessation therapy, which is a two session model.

Lower income clients can be catered for. I reserve some slots for such clients but these may involve a waiting list. Please enquire for further details.

When I work

I work in five different locations and my times in each will vary over time. Call me, I'm certain we can find a mutually convenient time in which to resolve your problem, once and for all.

Further information

I specialise in working with clients on the higher end of the autistic spectrum. My eldest daughter has asperger's and a thirdof my clients at any one time are on this spectrum. I have a good deal of success working with such clients and if you- or your child - could use some help then I'd be glad to work with you.

I am also, due to twenty years of teaching experience in secondary schools, able to work with children of ten years and older.
