Hello, I am Mark Reader, a long established full-time Hypnotherapist, Psychotherapist and Counsellor with a simple on-going mission 'to ensure that I am one of the the most professional, approachable, knowledgeable and effective therapists in the South East'. Over the years, I have helped thousands of people with a wide range of issues. I am committed to working with you in the most professional, caring, respectful and honest way that I know. I only accept clients who I genuinely believe that I can help and I will not make false promises.
After over 10 years working from Pease Pottage Golf Club, I have relocated just 3 minutes along the same road to my own private and tranquil consulting rooms which are set within the stunning grounds of The Roffey Park Institute at Colgate.
When working with you, I have made every effort to provide what I believe is the perfect setting and atmosphere to explore your inner strengths and capabilities. My consulting room itself is outside of the main building, within an area of designated outstanding natural beauty with views onto 40 acres of manicured gardens and woodland. The office is designed with you in mind – a modern, well-furnished, calm, relaxed but professional ambiance - a truly unique environment created for your ease of mind and comfort with calming subtle background music to help you relax. Quite simply, it is all about you.
My office location is ideally suited to those travelling from the Horsham and Crawley areas. For the many people who travel from further afield to see me, I am just 5 minutes from junction 11 off the M23. There is ample free parking onsite.
I am an integrative therapist, which means that I am highly trained and very experienced in using a variety of different methods to help you. These include Hypnotherapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Person Centred Counselling, Psychotherapy and Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP). These approaches can be used to address various issues such as:
- Dealing with difficult feelings and emotions
- Moving on from issues from the past
- Working with self-confidence, self-worth and self-esteem
- Resolving or managing worry and stress
- Dealing with anxiety and panic
- Relationship issues
- Executive development and coaching
- Executive stress
- Personality profiling
- Getting to grips with weight issues
- Smoking cessation
- Moving out of depression
- Obsessions and compulsions
- Fears and phobias
When working with you, I am not interested in diagnosing or labelling you and will never ever judge you. Whilst it is highly likely that I will have worked with the issues you describe on many other occasions, your problem will have an individual element - your particular version is most unlikely to be exactly the same as anyone else's in all its respects. I endeavour to treat the whole problem including the root causes, not just the symptom, and make treatment deeply personal and relevant to you the individual behind whatever issues you are trying to deal with.
An important part of therapy is the connection between you your chosen therapist, since the quality of rapport can have an influence on how successful the outcome. I provide a free 45 minute consultation, so as we can have a chance to meet up, and you can consider if I am the right therapist for you. You will find me professional, welcoming, relaxed, down-to-earth and easy to talk to. During the consultation, I can answer any questions that you may have and I can understand more about the matter that you are seeking help with. I will then be able to give you an entirely honest assessment of if I can help you, and the results that you can realistically expect. So, a free consultation is a great way for you to get a sense of how I understand your issue, and how we might work together, without any financial cost or obligation.
