10 The Shrubberies
My aim is to help you help yourself in overcoming your problem and for this to be a long and lasting change. As a member of the National Council for Hypnotherapy (NCH) I adhere to the highest standards in training and follow a strict code of professional ethics and public protection policies. I am also registered with the Complementary and National Healthcare Council (CNHC). My membership of these associations is also dependent on a commitment to continual professional development and monthly supervision meetings.
A little back ground about my life reveals that I evolved my interest in self-development and helping others via my work within the media industry, were I served both public service and commercial companies, for many years, diverging from hands on technical know-how into managing teams and motivating individuals towards achieving targets and succeeding in their own personal goals.
I took an interest in coaching methods and in building on these skills to forge stronger links between individuals and teams of people. In sharing my learning’s I was able to motivate and help others in their daily work and in acknowledging their own capabilities to achieve much more.
I was drawn to Cognitive Hypnotherapy as I recognised the value of what it provides as a multi-discipline in helping people in so many ways to achieve what they value in life.
If you would like to know more about 'Cognitive Hypnotherapy' as a discipline check out the video under 'further information' below.
Points of interest:
Smoking & Vaping Cessation Specialist:
I am trained in The Simmons Method - which is based on the latest cutting edge Neuro-scientific research on how smoking effects the landscape of the brain, which hijacks the internal motivation and reward system making it difficult to stop the smoking. The Simmons Method aims to help you understand much more about what is happening to you, and this training enables me to create bespoke treatments which can help you to break all the unique associations that trigger the smoking in you. We can do this in one or two sessions - check out my website for more information and how to contact me.
Breaking unwanted habits:
Many of my clients have been successful at taking back control and overcoming their unwanted habits. Cognitive Hypnotherapy is a safe and effective treatment for helping people with all sorts of addictive behaviours including, smoking, poor eating habits, addiction to cola drinks, nail biting and thumb sucking, skin picking, and pulling hair.
Emotional issues: Stress, anxiety, panic attacks and low mood, depression and trauma.
We explore how you perceive and experience your problem and work towards making positive changes over a series of sessions, which can enable you to manage your own response to your stress or anxiety. Encouraging a better understanding of what you could achieve with the ability to relax and be much more in control. Gradually and at your own pace you can move towards your solution state, by drawing upon your own resources and learning new ones that can help you.
Weight & emotional eating: Help, guidance and techniques for people wanting to change their relationship with food.
We uncover what your issue with food is about. Then we explore how we can use this information to help you to reprogram your brain to replace those unwanted behaviours with something more positive because this can lead to lasting change. When you get off the battle ground with food, you could discover a much more healthy relationship begins and continues to be a normal part of everyday life. This can also have a significant impact on any concerns about your weight and healthy eating.
Some issues can lend themselves to online therapy very well. Busy lives means it can sometimes be difficult to travel to different locations. It may be that a client lives in another part of the UK or even another country and would like to connect with a therapist who specializes in their issue. UK Law applies for Global clients. It's not necessary to download Skype as there are other web-based options. PC, Mac, laptop or good tablet with a sturdy rest, and a stable broadband connection are the main requirements. Taking the first step: Initial assessment conversation with all prospective clients at no charge. Everything I do is tailored toward you personally because all clients are unique.
It's usual to have an initial telephone assessment and consultation for prospective clients. There is no obligation or charge for this service, which may run up to 30 minutes. This enables me to listen to you and gain a better understanding of your situation and how best to support you.
This may mean a series of sessions within a framework, a journey which includes other resources tools and interventions, for you to learn and keep. I would outline the specifics during our conversation.
Fees: Depending on the venue, fees can equate to between £80 to £95 per visit. I also work on-line for a set journey fee. Seeing me is just one part of a journey package. They include a set amount of visits to see me in person alongside other things I prepare outside of sessions to give to you. For example...
Your journey package includes: Between session tasks for example listening to an MP3 download or practicing techniques, documentation to keep. Between session's a catch up via email, phone or text. Visits may run from 60 to 90 minutes (average 75 minutes). Visits start weekly then could be fortnightly or monthly as appropriate to your needs. A journey can be extended as appropriate to your needs.
How many sessions: This is client and issue dependent. As a general guide between 4 to 8 sessions. The average being around 6 sessions.
To find out more contact me via email tell me, in brief, why you are seeking hypnotherapy.
Or visit my contact page and book yourself in for an initial assessment and consultation.
Specialist Smoking Cessation: Usually completes in two sessions and has a specific pricing structure due to two different services. Drop me a line if this interests you or you may like to browse my web page first
