10 The Shrubberies
My aim is to help you help yourself in overcoming your problem and for this to be a long and lasting change. As a member of the National Council for Hypnotherapy (NCH) I adhere to the highest standards in training and follow a strict code of professional ethics and public protection policies. I am also registered with the Complementary and National Healthcare Council (CNHC). My membership of these associations is also dependent on a commitment to continual professional development and monthly supervision meetings.
A little back ground about my life reveals that I evolved my interest in self-development and helping others via my work within the media industry, were I served both public service and commercial companies, for many years, diverging from hands on technical know-how into managing teams and motivating individuals towards achieving targets and succeeding in their own personal goals.
I took an interest in coaching methods and in building on these skills to forge stronger links between individuals and teams of people. In sharing my learning’s I was able to motivate and help others in their daily work and in acknowledging their own capabilities to achieve much more.
I was drawn to Cognitive Hypnotherapy as I recognised the value of what it provides as a multi-discipline in helping people in so many ways to achieve what they value in life.
If you would like to know more about 'Cognitive Hypnotherapy' as a discipline check out the video under 'further information' below.
Points of interest:
Smoking Cessation Specialist:
I am trained in The Simmons Method - which is based on the latest cutting edge Neuro-scientific research on how smoking effects the landscape of the brain, which hijacks the internal motivation and reward system making it difficult to stop the smoking. The Simmons Method aims to help you understand much more about what is happening to you, and this training enables me to create bespoke treatments which can help you to break all the unique associations that trigger the smoking in you. We can do this in one or two sessions - check out my website for more information and how to contact me.
Breaking unwanted habits:
Many of my clients have been successful at taking back control and overcoming their unwanted habits. Cognitive Hypnotherapy is a safe and effective treatment for helping people with all sorts of addictive behaviours including, smoking, poor eating habits, addiction to cola drinks, nail biting and thumb sucking, skin picking, and pulling hair.
Emotional issues: Stress, anxiety, panic attacks and low mood, depression and trauma.
We explore how you perceive and experience your problem and work towards making positive changes over a series of sessions, which can enable you to manage your own response to your stress or anxiety. Encouraging a better understanding of what you could achieve with the ability to relax and be much more in control. Gradually and at your own pace you can move towards your solution state, by drawing upon your own resources and learning new ones that can help you.
Weight management: Help, guidance and techniques for people wanting to change their relationship with food.
We uncover what your issue with food, weight management and exercise is about. Then we explore how we can use this information to help you to reprogram your brain to replace those unwanted behaviours with something more positive because this can lead to lasting change. When you get off the battle ground with food, you could discover a much more healthy relationship begins and continues to be a normal part of everyday life.

Vaping (e-cigarette) cessation
Taking the first step: Session time can run up to 75 minutes, with no additional charge.
It's usual for me to have an initial telephone assessment and consultation (there is no obligation or charge for this service) with prospective clients. This enables me to listen to you and gain a better understanding your situation, we can then decide how best to support you.
Everything I do is tailored toward you personally because all clients are unique. Our initial conversation helps us to make those choices on whether it would be best for you to have a minimum amount of one to one appointments, or if it's better for you to commit to an agreed package of sessions. This usually equates to around £80 per 75 minutes.
To find out more drop me a line or contact me via phone and let me know why you are seeking hypnotherapy. I will then supply you with details so that you can book yourself in for that all important, free of charge, initial conversation.

Cognitive Hypnotherapy is a brief therapy, you won't be locked into years of therapy and you may be surprised at just how quickly you start to experience improvements. In some cases four to six sessions can be enough to be in a place where you could be ready to continue your journey without additional help.
Saturday sessions are also available, as well as weekday with possibility for evening appointment. Let's discuss at initial phone conversation.
