About me

Welcome! I'm an experienced Clinical Hypnotherapist and Mindfulness Meditation Practitioner, with a Masters level degree in psychology. I have an established hypnotherapy practice here in Horley, Surrey, and am keen to help you to attain your goals.

I use a combination of Hypnotherapy, Mindfulness Meditation, NLP, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT).

I enjoy helping people of all ages attain their goals and get more out of life. I have experienced helping many people with a very wide range of issues, varying from stopping smoking; losing weight and changing diet; addictions and habits (e.g. alcohol, drugs): overcoming depression; overcoming fears and phobias; overcoming anxiety/panic and performance anxiety and so on.

I also offer eight-week mindfulness meditation courses and also provide one to one sessions.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have training/experience in the following:

Diploma in Hypnotherapy; Hypnotherapy Practitioner Diploma; Diploma in Hypnotherapy Advanced Weight Control.
Psychology: Health Psychology MSc; and  Psychology and Sociology degree - BSc (Hons)
Mindfulness Meditation: Certificate in mindfulness teaching, UK College of Mindfulness Meditation.
Diploma in NLP.
EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique): taught as part of my hypnotherapy diploma.
Coaching: taught as part of my hypnotherapy diploma.
CBT (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy): taught as part of my hypnotherapy diploma.

I have always been passionate about understanding the human mind and helping people to improve their well-being. I gained my Degree in Psychology and Sociology in 1992, and went on to study an MSc in Health Psychology.  I then embarked on a career in social/ health research and analyst posts within the NHS and Department of Health, but felt unfulfilled.

I discovered the benefits of hypnotherapy after seeking treatment myself, so trained and began to work as a full time Hypnotherapist. I then discovered the benefits of mindfulness meditation for myself and trained to be a mindfuness practitioner.

Mindfulness meditation.
I offer one to one and meditation courses.
The 8 week mindfulness meditation course is based upon the Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) course developed by The Founder of the Oxford Mindfulness Centre, which is based upon work by Jon Kabat-Zinn.

The course is designed to help anyone looking to enhance their emotional well-being, not just those with conditions such as anxiety or depression etc.I aim to make it both fun and informative, and you are able to share experiences (if you wish) and ask questions


One-to-one sessions:  
£70 during the day, £75 evenings. (£10 extra for first session).
£160 for stop smoking sessions (this is a one-off two-hour session with free return within a month)  
Children: £55 for half an hour, £60 for 45 minutes and £65 for an hour.

Mindfulness meditation courses:
group sessions:
£225 for 8 weeks

Stop Smoking:
