About me

Experienced and accredited Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapist and EMDR Practitioner offering face-to-face and on-line hypnotherapy sessions via Zoom. I am also a Licensed Hypno-Band Practitioner offering Gastric Band Hypnotherapy.

How can hypnotherapy help me?

Whether you are struggling to cope in these uncertain times, perhaps feeling very anxious and overwhelmed, or have slipped into bad habits and are now ready to change your eating habits or reduce your alcohol intake. Maybe you're struggling to sleep? or manage intrusive thoughts or certain behaviours due to OCD, addiction, phobia or to overcome tooth grinding (Bruxism)? Whatever your issue, hypnotherapy makes the process of change easier and less challenging.

Will hypnotherapy work for me and how about on-line sessions? Do they work as well as face-to-face hypnotherapy sessions?

Hypnotherapy is a highly effective form of for therapy for many conditions.  And therapy sessions conducted on-line over Zoom are just as effective as face-to-face sessions. The only difference is that you'll be in the comfort of your own home. The only thing you'll need is an internet connection and a phone, computer or tablet.  As a sports hypnotherapist I am highly experienced in conducting on-line sessions and the clients who I have worked with have experienced great results via their Zoom sessions.

If you would like to find out more about hypnosis and how I may be able to help you then please feel free to contact me for a free no obligation telephone consultation.

Where will my therapy sessions take place?

My face-to-face hypnotherapy sessions all take place in my comfortable office in leafy Tadworth, Surrey where I am within close distance of the M25. 20 minutes walk from the nearest station or 15 minutes drive from the closest mainline station. There is plenty of parking available close by. I have a purpose built therapy room complete with a hypnotherapy chair in a tranquil and peaceful setting.

What can I expect from our sessions?

The first session is a 90 minute session in which a full case history is taken. We will discuss your treatment plan and estimate how many sessions you are likely to need. The initial session comprises of a free 30 minute consultation and a 60 minute therapy session. All subsequent sessions are 60 minutes in length.

As a Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapist I use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy as well as hypnosis during my therapy sessions, often combining the two. CBT is one of the most widely researched areas of therapy and is proven to lead to a successful outcome in the treatment of Anxiety, Phobia and OCD. Hypnosis is one of the only treatments recommended by NICE for the treatment of IBS and I am highly experienced in this area.

The benefit of using cognitive behavioural hypnotherapy is that change is often achieved in much fewer sessions than in stand alone CBT alone.

Client Testimonials

Claire, who overcame her anxiety and low self-esteem and regained her confidence with Hypnotherapy

“Hi Louise,

I just wanted to give you an update. I know I only had one session with you but I just wanted to say a big thank you, I haven’t felt this good and like myself in about 5 years! Talking to you really made such a difference and helped me work so much stuff out and make decisions for myself and not for others. My head is in a great place and I’m really happy in myself, I find myself doing things that I haven’t done in years so again thank you so much!”

Anna, who overcame her fear of vomiting (Emetophobia) with Hypnotherapy

“I went to Louise last Summer as a total skeptic of hypnotherapy but I am now sooo glad I did!!! She treated me for emetophobia (fear of vomiting) as I would panic and pass out every time I was going to be sick from around the age of 14. Although it’s (thankfully) taken me a year to find out if it worked, I can safely say it absolutely has! Although never enjoyable, I recently had a sickness bug that I dealt with head on – no major panic and most breakthrough of all – no fainting! I can’t recommend Louise highly enough..”Anna, Surrey

Jacki, who overcame her flying phobia with Hypnotherapy

"Just wanted to say a very big thank you. After my hypno I was able to get on the plane for the first time in many years without a shred of anxiety. I was even able to sleep the night before and EAT on the day of flying. I honestly can't tell you what a big difference this made to my entire holiday experience. Not only for my sake but for my family flying with me, I would even go so far as to say it was quite pleasant! You are so good at what you do, I just wanted people to know how it can really change your life. Big love xxxxxx"

Niral, who's daughter was able to overcome her dog phobia with Hypnotherapy-

"Hi Louise, again thank you so much for all your work with my daughter. When we came to you she was absolutely terrified of dogs, cats and all animals in general. We, as a family, had to avoid all get togethers where pets were involved. Walking in the park was a constant chore to avoid dogs. After these 5 sessions with you, the change is just amazing. My daughter now has no problem feeding her friend's dogs, she doesn't have to cross the road to avoid them, and just in general, she's using your cbt exercises in all aspects of overcoming any challenge. Thank you again."

Carolyn, who daughter was able to stop her compulsive eye rubbing habit using Hypnotherapy-

"I cannot recommend Louise Phillips highly enough. I turned to Louise for help with my teenage daughters compulsive habit of eye rubbing when asleep, (causing swelling and pain), as having tried 'conventional' medical help for over 4 years had only addressed the resulting problems and not the cause. My daughter and I visited Louise at her home before Christmas and after only one session and a month later, there have been no incidents of the eye rubbing at all. My daughter's school attendance has now risen enormously which is vital in her GCSE year and her confidence has soared. I would happily recommend Louise to anyone."

Alex who was able to take back control of his life with Hypnotherapy-

“Louise, thank you for helping me believe in myself once again. You’re a great hypnotherapist!"

Alex Reid, martial artist, athlete and actor-

"Being a champion martial artist and a top athlete is not just about training your body, it’s more about training your mind, so I sought to find the best hypnotherapist to help me on my mission.

I find my hypnotherapy sessions with Louise wonderfully relaxing and I’ve seen a remarkable difference in everything I do. I feel better not just emotionally, but physically too. Not only that, but my friends and family have noticed a difference in me too.

Louise has helped me to become more positive, resilient and focused and I truly believe in myself once again. I feel confident, self-assured and firmly in the driving seat of my life.

In the last year, I’ve really built myself up emotionally as well as physically and I’d like to thank Louise for that. Things are really starting to happen for me. Louise you are a great hypnotherapist!"

Nicola, who is now pain free after Hypnotherapy-

"I hardly dare write this - from the second day on after our session, I've had virtually complete relief from the seriously awful neurological symptoms and dreadful pain in my buttock and leg. Over the last few months I've seen doctors, physios, chiropractors and osteopaths but since this is the first time I've experienced ANY real improvement after such visits, I have to believe this extraordinary relief is due to YOU!So bless you, Louise, and a million thanks - you've been a massive help in de-stressing me and bringing to a halt the stress/pain circle in my life. Don't worry, I'll keep working on it!"

Jenny who overcame her problem drinking with Hypnotherapy-

"Finally Louise it seems that the work we've been doing together is working! I've not been drinking and I feel NO desire to do so. In fact I feel completely different than ever before and am able to enjoy life again. I now even look forward to evenings out rather than viewing them with dread and I love being in control.

So thanks so much for all your help. You really are a life saver!"

Rob who overcame his fear of flying with Hypnotherapy-

"Louise Phillips what can I say there aren't enough stars to give you 5?? really isn't enough !!! I'm literally a different person I suffered with serious anxiety issues most if not all of my life that is until I saw Louise Phillips I can now safely say those feelings no longer exist and my fear of flying has been sent packing aswell!!! Without a shadow of a doubt she is second to none in her field and anyone one who is thinking about hypnotherapy get yourself along to Louise Phillips don't hesitate get it done it will change so much of you it's amazing Cheers Louise once again your an absolute superstar!"

Matthew who overcome anxiety and trauma with Hypnotherapy-

"I booked in to see you after struggling for many years from emotional issues. I found our hypnotherapy sessions incredibly helpful and now feel emotionally stronger and more able to deal with the ups and downs and enjoy my life. Thank you for helping me to deal with my emotional issues after so many years. I will definitely be back."

Pam, who leaned to manage her arthritis pain with Hypnotherapy-

"I have been seeing Louise for arthritis in my knee and other joints over the last year. I was sceptical when it was suggested to me by a friend, but I can honestly say that having hypnotherapy has made a huge difference to the pain and my confidence in dealing with it. I will be going back to her once I have my surgery for pain relief and support in my recovery."

Kate, who overcome her low self-esteem with Hypnotherapy-

Thank you so much Louise. Your hypnotherapy sessions have really helped to rebuild my confidence and self-belief and I have even found my laugh again!!

Ben, who overcame his fear of flying with Hypnotherapy-

"I came to see you for my fear of flying and I’m thrilled to say that I had a wonderful holiday and enjoyed my flight immensely. Thank you Louise. I will definitely be recommending you in the future."

Danielle, who overcame emotional eating and took control of her eating habits with Hypnotherapy-

"Hypnotherapy has had a beneficial impact on my life.

I did not know what to expect from hypnotherapy and started with little understanding of the process. Following weight gain from 3 years of injury, medication and operations I was ready for some sort of intervention and had a totally open mind about hypnotherapy. Whilst I initially hoped it could assist weight loss, the actual impact has been far greater. I have lost weight and dropped clothes sizes but more importantly, I have a better understanding of my issue with food, I can better manage my emotional eating and I continue to lose weight without the pressure or depravation of a diet. Whilst getting to my ideal weight is a journey I need more time to complete, I feel confident in my ability to achieve and maintain it.

Having struggled with my weight for many years, I have tried a variety of diets and diet clubs. Hypnotherapy has helped me to actually feel in control for the first time. I feel so much happier and now that my friends and family have started to notice my weight loss it feels great!"

Karen, who leaned to manage her grief with Hypnotherapy-

"I came to see you for you to assist me with the loss of my son. I was able to connect with you as I knew that you understood the devastating emotional pain that I was experiencing. I found you compassionate, courageous and inspiring. Thank for supporting me on my journey."

Jenny, who overcame her anxiety and insomnia with Hypnotherapy-

"I came to see Louise Phillips to manage my Anxiety and Insomnia. After 3 sessions, my anxiety is now no longer a problem, in fact I feel better than ever. My sleep has improved so much too. I find my recording really helpful and will be recommending you in the future."

Kate, who lost weight with Hypnotherapy-

"Louise is a brilliant hynotherapist. Having had a hypnoband - I am losing weight without even trying, feeling fuller and back in control of my eating. So happy - can't recommend Louise highly enough."

Terri, who stopped smoking with Hypnotherapy-

"Dear Louise, once again thank you for your help in me stopping smoking. It was an incredible experience and, since, my breathing volume has more than doubled, no doubt due to the absence of the toxins in my body. As an asthmatic I certainly embrace my new-found wellbeing and improved health and can only recommend your services to anybody in need."

Jodie, who improved her sporting performance with Hypnotherapy-

"Weigh in tomorrow and so excited. Feeling strong and confident. Got my last hypnotherapy session with the amazing Louise Phillips this afternoon to get my mind completely finally tuned at the last moment ready for war Saturday night! Lou has unimaginable talent and if it wasn't for her this weight cut would of been a million times harder. Time to hit 5th gear this afternoon ready for weigh in tomorrow!"

Charlotte, who stopped smoking with Hypnotherapy-

"Louise's relaxing and calming attitude, coupled with the comfortable surrounding made my hypnosis experience truly wonderful. I have found hypnosis has enabled me to reach my goals with ease and confidence, all thanks to Louise and her amazing talent."

Nicky, who's teenage son was able to resume with football career after Hypnotherapy-

"Thanks Lou for working with Danny. Thought he was never going to play football again after his injury. You've certainly worked your magic- can't keep him off the pitch now!!"
