Louise Cousin - DHP, LAPHP, LLB (Hons)
Hi, I'm Louise Cousin and I practice from offices just outside Maidstone town centre. When you come and see me, you will be welcomed into a non-judgmental, caring, supportive and empathetic environment. You can feel relaxed knowing that whatever you say to me is strictly confidential and you will be treated with the respect you deserve.
I love working with my clients and hope that my enthusiasm for hypnotherapy shines through; I am always in awe of the changes that are possible with this amazing therapy. There are so many areas of life where hypnotherapy can make a huge difference to you, from giving up smoking and helping you lose weight to helping you conquer fears, phobias and boosting self-confidence, helping with stress and anxiety and fertility issues.
I am a registered member of The Association for Professional Hypnosis and Psychotherapy (APHP) which means I have signed upto and adhere to their professional code of conduct. I have full professional indemnity insurance cover.
Training, qualifications & experience
After studying the Professional Practitioner Hypnotherapy Training Course with the award winning training school, The Kent Institute of Clinical Hypnosis, I gained my Diploma in Hypnotherapy with Psychotherapy. I now run a busy practice based in Maidstone, Kent but see people from all over the County and sometimes from even further afield.
I am extremely passionate about the therapy I provide and in order to help my clients realise their true potential, I use a range of psychotherapeutic approaches, including Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). I am always updating my skills, qualifications and knowledge. Most recently I have undertaken further study with Terence Watts who is the founder and Principle of The Essex Institute of Clinical Hypnosis and well respected author of several books; this training has allowed me to deal with more serious and in-depth issues.
I enjoy helping clients with all kinds of issues, from anxiety and stress, to confidence and weight loss but have a special interest in non-medical fertility issues and helping mums to deal with the stress and pressures which present when raising children.

Other areas of hypnotherapy I deal with
In addition to the areas listed above, I also have a special interest in non-medical fertility issues and helping women overcome psychological 'blocks' to conceiving. Increasing numbers of people are turning to hypnotherapy to help them with unexplained fertility issues. Lifestyle changes, the pain of giving birth, money worries, previous miscarriages or abortions or perhaps feeling that you will not be able to cope, can all become mental blocks to conceiving. Hypnotherapy can help you recognise and break down these mental barriers to help address your fears or worries.
Some of the issues listed above may require a more in-depth approach and I am able to offer this by means of Hypnoanalysis and hold a certificate in this discipline.
