Anxiety, depression, addiction, phobias and fears tend to have their origin in negative experiences earlier in life. The good news is that finding those early triggers and healing them can release the current problem. Call me for a free chat to find out more. Hypnotherapy helps you work directly with your mind to release those deep patterns so you can create the permanent change you want. There is more on my website on how the blocks resulting from early negative experiences may show themselves in many ways, including addiction, depression, PTSD, stress, anxiety, fears, phobias, compulsions or unwanted behaviour or habits, as we continually search for ways to get our emotional needs met.
Any one of us can find ourselves blocked from living the life we want and the fulfilment we all have a right to. There will always be a good reason for our difficulties! I use regression (going back to the original cause to release and heal it) to help my clients overcome the influences of past pain or trauma which continue to affect the present and to cast a shadow over hopes for the future. It is possible to release those feelings and re-boot our ability to thrive and move forwards in our lives, often in just a few sessions.
I have extensive training in Counselling and Psychotherapy. I am also a Spiritual Healer (no religious beliefs involved), and have trained healers to national standards through my association with the Soul Therapy Centre in North London, where I was Co-Director for several years.
Since all effective healing is self-healing, I was particularly drawn to Hypnotherapy as the most powerful route I could see to assist my clients to self-heal. It is the most direct way I know to reach and change for good the deep, self-limiting programmes many of us are running at the unconscious level, often without realising it. My fascination with the mind and the workings of the brain, coupled with my natural curiosity and scepticism (i.e. open minded but requiring evidence) has helped me develop effective approaches to free my clients from painful and limiting echoes from the past.
Although I am both a Hypnotherapist and a Spiritual Healer, I do not mix the therapies, and many of my clients come for one or the other. However an increasing number find using both in a flexible programme, moving between the two, very helpful.
I work with a small number of long sessions (typically 3-4). Usually these will start to make a material difference quickly, because once difficult and upsetting feelings start to be released, the client's own self-healing and self-balancing mechanisms can start to work properly.

With most of my clients, I work with regression under hypnosis to help them resolve and release difficult feelings which are blocking their ability to live the lives they want. The blocks may be manifesting themselves in many different ways. Addictions and unwanted behaviour (from overeating to problem gambling) arise because our mind is always trying to find ways to get our emotional needs met. (see the Human Givens Institute for more on this). So even apparently negative behaviour will be fulfilling a positive role. Once the need being met is identified, it is possible to heal it so that unwanted behaviour can be released.
A client's success with regression depends on the willingness of their unconscious mind to go to painful places and memories, many of which may have been 'buried'. A Hypnotherapist cannot force the mind to go where it is unwilling to go. With the co-operation of the unconscious mind, It is possible to access those memories using regression. I include a case history on my website: http://kathrynscorza.co.uk/hypnotherapy/regression/case-history/ which is a good illustration of how regression can work.
I make tailored recordings for all my clients to prepare for regression and to help promote progress between sessions.
I also offer a tailored chronic pain control programme (created with a GP) designed to teach sufferers techniques and quick and effective self-hypnosis to help them better manage their pain levels. Clients should have consulted a medical professional, and any new or unexplained pain sensations must first be checked out before considering Hypnotherapy.
I offer both daytime and evening sessions across the week. Parking is easy and free
