You are not asleep during Hypnosis, simply very relaxed. You can at all times move freely and you will not do anything that you do not wish to do. (This is not the same as stage hypnosis). The mind responds to positive changes when we are in a relaxed state.

Your behavior will be a direct result of your feelings and emotions surrounding the problem and it is the unwanted behavior such as anger that we can eliminate.
Whenever you are faced with a situation in the present time that contains the same coded memory as a past event, the same feelings and emotions are triggered. These feelings and emotions create a reaction that in most cases we would prefer to avoid whenever we are faced with a similar situation. So if you want to stop a repetition of your behavior each time you are faced with a crisis that triggers past feelings then I can help you overcome those feelings and deal with any situation in a more controlled way.
Utilising Timeline Therapy I can assist you to revisit the event and eliminate the painful thoughts and feelings surrounding that memory (not the memory itself). This is a simple and quick therapy and has the power to clear those painful thoughts.
What is currently happening to you is basically a security trigger. Your subconscious mind senses a threat based on past emotions from a similar event and before the conscious mind has had time to evaluate the situation and make a plan to deal with the situation your subconscious mind has taken over and created a behavior to protect you from danger. (Knee Jerk Reaction)
I can show you how we can revisit the event and remove the unwanted fears so that as you go into the future you will not have the dreaded behavior when faced with similar threats.
Your Therapy Session
Often clients can feel anxious on their first appointment, however, by the end of the first session they are very relaxed. It is not the thought of coming for the appointment but rather what will happen in therapy that concerns clients.
As therapists we all governed by a Code of Conduct or Ethics and that means we treat clients with respect. Nothing is deemed bizarre to us and we listen intently with the aim of finding a solution to your problem(s). Our work with you is private and confidential.
As you change and adapt to a new way of being this can bring about new motivation which is required to move on.
Weight Loss - Aside from the traditional forms of Weight Loss I rolled out Summer 2016 the
New Authoritarian & Motivational Weight Loss Program
This 6 week program is ideal for those clients without a history of Depression and Epilepsy who are keen to be directed by daily motivational prompts and weekly hypnotherapy. My current clients are losing weight in accordance with the requirements, as I guide them to take action. It is necessary that you understand the difference between healthy and unhealthy eating and additional guidance is given in this area as well.
A very upbeat and directional approach to weight-loss but not for the fainthearted.
Clients are expected to carry out simple tasks as "homework" with a view to focusing on their specific goal.
Ideal too for those who may be attending a gathering such as a wedding or birthday party or special event although the bigger picture is about long term weight-loss. Call me to discuss your options on this motivational weight-loss regime.
All my clients are losing weight some weekly and some daily.
I am at the end of the telephone should you need help and I will text or email you each day to keep you firing on all cylinders.
The weekly hypnotherapy sessions are geared to you the individual as there is no "one size fits all! way of working in my book.

Addictions -If you think you may be addicted to something or dependent in some way on a substance or habitually carrying out an action, this could be a good time to halt that process. Sleep Deprivation - Negative thoughts often lead to sleep deprivation which can be totally exhausting. The more we try to sleep the less it happens. We need to break the cycle of sleepless nights. Lack of sleep affects our mood and our approach to life, often bringing about additional negative emotions. Worries and concerns that we harbor during the waking hours appear magnified in the evening and this in itself prevents us from relaxing when we need to rest our mind and body. A lack of serotonin (the happy hormone as it is often known - a biochemical that promotes restful sleep ) can lead to irritability, low mood, depression and a desire to overeat, along with other symptoms. How good would it feel to wake refreshed and ready to address the day with more vigor and a positive attitude? If we can improve your mood this can lead to an increase in serotonin which will have a knock on effect in relation to your general approach to life and all its encumbrances.

I undertook the six week Authoritarian & Motivational Weightloss programme run by Kathryn. I wanted a no nonsense approach which held me accountable for my actions but also gave me a structured and supportive way to help me achieve my goals. I visited Kathryn after my fear of swimming for many years came to a head during my first triathlon. I have been suffering with an eating disorder for years, constantly feeling like I was hiding the real me in the shadows and afraid of what people would think of me if they knew the real life I was living. I hid it, I hid the pain, anger and upset. When I was in the company of others I would be outgoing and the one to always make friends and family laugh. Little did they know it was all an act that I had been putting on for years. This led me not only to have an eating problem but also to suffering depression and anxiety. I would have good days and bad days but when it was bad it was really bad.
Finally after 6 years of suffering with this life I had lost hope of finding a solution until I found Kathryn.
The first time we spoke it was over the telephone and for the first time I felt like I had a friend who knew the real me and even better than that understood me.
