About me

I am a Clinical Solution Focused Hypnotherapist working for the benefit of all who come from the local community. As a past teacher I retain an interest in education related pressure issues and welcome all from that environment as well as the general public. I specialise in helping people to move forwards in their lives and to leave the past behind where possible. I have been trained in a highly regarded centre, The Clifton Practice in Bristol. My qualifications have been taken over several years since 2007 and I pay attention to my professional development regularly. As a registered member of the NCH I have also taken up registration with the Dept. of Health recognised CNCH.

My special interest is with phobias, in particular Dental phobias, of which there are many. I do however see all anxious, stressed and depressed people within the sphere of my current knowledge and support weight loss /management with knowledge of sources of good quality food. I welcome all enquiries and seek to create a rapport with all people who visit the clinics I work in. It is most important to emphasise that it is team work between client and therapist but that the client must be prepared to do any activities agreed, between sessions.
In addition I see clients for many other issues such as Addictions - e.g. Alcohol and Quit Smoking, insomnia and depression, to name a few. As sleep is the first issue for my concern because it affects most people's situation, then clients can be assured this area of their life will naturally improve.
I shall be relocating at some point soon and wish to incorporate Fertility courses for couples then, but for now see clients locally in Keynsham.

Further information

I have a Dental Phobia questionnaire on my website that people at a distance as well as local, can participate in, with a 'thank you'. I appreciate all who can help me in this small focus as it helps improve my knowledge with these phobias and to better help clients when they seek help for their particular collection of dental fears. In addition I now have an agreement with a dentists specialising in helping fearful patients for referring accross any suitable patients.
This includes a preliminary questionnaire about the scale of fears that can be done to determine whether you are fearful, or more specifically phobic and unable to attend a dentists. I have CDs and soon MP3s available on my newer website for ordering. CDs by post and later, MP3s for immediate download after payment.
